thought it was about time to start a topic

anyways, going to SFNE on June 16th (no love poop) for a visit and wanted to see if anybody was willing to do a meet up or something, see what's going on with the topper track for a site exclusive update (if it isn't done by then) etc. Anyways, hopefully something can be arranged[:)]

I wish I could go....

EDIT:

Also, be sure to get a flash pass. Not a waste of money in any way. ride Bizarro as many times as you can. Back has really good air too so ride in back. Make it the second to last row though so you get a better view.

When I went last year we were able to do everything with-in half a day. Bizzaro was the only thing we really had to wait for and that wait was only about 15 minutes.

Well, I went all day. Tetsu also lives closer to it, and since we don't, the flash pass really is nice. I always do that for Six Flags parks I will probably not return to in the next couple years, so I can get the best possible experience. And also, Tetsu got there right as all the families were starting to leave. If you are planning to spend the whole day, spend the extra $35.

Unfortunately no. Basically, whenever my family travels anywhere for anything, be it a bat mitzvah (as it is in this case) or a trip to visit colleges, I get to go to one theme park in the area. So even though I would love to ride Boulder Dash, I chose SFNE for this trip.

Although I do plan on going to college in the New England area...

I'm sort of fundamentally opposed to the whole Flash Pass thing and paying to get to the front of the line. I think it's horribly unfair to those of us who travel on the cheap. Granted, I bought universal's express pass over spring break, but that's because that was the only time that I will likely ever go there (it's expensive and has only a limited selection of rides, plus my family is unreasonably obsessed with Disney World). Even then, I felt guilty while I was using the pass. I felt like people were giving me death stares. My philosophy is that people shouldn't be able to pay money to skip the lines. [/rant]

Back on topic (sorta), what colleges are you looking at? I have friends at a few universities out there.

I already posted a review of cyclone and it's topper track but nobody responded. It was in the cyclone topper track topic. Its one of the best wood coasters out there now. Ride it. Alot. Bizarro is good in the back. Aweful In the front.

Holy poop I took that trip last summer as a graduation gift! Literally that exact trip. But we went to SFA in the middle. However, I bet I can beat it. Planned a trip with my friend to go to 15 parks, then end the trip with a visit to DCI finals.

Leave from Central ohio:
Kings Island, Holiday World, beech Band, Dollywood, Carowinds, SFoG, Alabama Adventure, Silver Dollar City, SFStL, some small park in Des Moines, Mall Of America, Wisconsin Dells (Mt. Olympus + water parks + that extreme park they have there), SFGAm, Indiana Beach, then DCI @ Indy.

I think that beats your minuscule little 5-park trip [:P] Granted, it's likely never to happen, but if it does, it would be damn near the coolest thing ever.
