Nintendo announced about there new Wii U! There will be a whole new console and a whole new controller. (Old controllers still work though.) This is a good sized controller and there is many different things you can do with it. EX: You had a kid who was playing the Wii U on your family TV but you needed to watch a certain show, well with this controller, if you leave your Wii U on they can still play the game on the controller and you are able to watch your show. There are many other features on this also. I know one thing i'm not going to like is paying for a whole new console and that controller which is going to be between 300$ and 400$ (My guess)

It's still a console but you can play on the controller. Nintendo said its not a portable device like the DS that you would have to be with in like a short distance for it to work.

I hated the Wii, but i must admit this is pretty impressive. Controller looks gash, but it's capabilities more than make up for it. I won't be buying one though.

^ Yeah me neither... I don't wanna buy a 300$ console then have to buy a 100$ controller.

I think it's a fantastic idea, but it seems like it may be just a bit ahead of its time (Nintendo has a habit of doing that, don't they?). I'm not totally sure touchscreens are cheap enough at this point to make this a worthwhile venture.

Though I did have a discussion today with a friend about whether this was a Wii extension, or whether there will be a new console to come along as well. If this is an extension of the original Wii I can't see it being anything other than a total flop - I know I wouldn't buy it, and I'm a sucker for cool gadgets like this. If there's a new console to come along at the same time, this may be a fantastic thing for Nintendo, and the gaming industry as a whole.

Don't really care for this. Looks unappealing to me. Controller thing looks horrible, Looking at 2 screens when they aren't always next to each other or in the same direction would love suck (like looking both up and down). Only good thing is they finally have HDMI.

It's a whole new console. And quite a powerful one by the comments from the conference.

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

A whole new console is stupid though. The new console is ugly as love and the only thing it can do other than the Wii I have now is the new controller will work with it and you want me to pay you 300$ more? Umh, never, Espically when my Wii is on my own TV and not a family one so I can play it whenever.

There's a lot more to it than just transfering the tv screen to your controller. ^

There's a lot of opportunities for great innovative game play, judging from the tech demo and what I've read. You won't just be staring at the controller the whole time either.

Why is a new console stupid? The Wii was obsolete graphics-wise when it came out, and now it's just plain poop. Nintendo needs a tech update rather than one of those "look at this nifty thing that's pretty cool to play on but happens to be incredibly underpowered". If the console is current on the graphics front, and this controller is really as cool as it seems, I see no reason why Nintendo can't take over the gaming industry, at least for the time being. As with most things these days, it's a really cool idea, but the implementation is what will make it or break it.

I know there is a lot more than just transfering. But there aren't many cool features though, the baseball is just pointless? They catch it if you watch the ball or not so there is no point in that at all. Whenever you transfer the TV to the controller you lose the "fun" experince using the Wii Remote. So basically its back to playing a DS. Some of the features look really good though, espically the Legend of Zelda one.

Why talk about this over the much MUCH better things at E3, BF3, MW3 (lol 3) Assassins Creed 2.99 (aww, not a 3) in order from my least anticipated to most. AC2.99 or ACRevelations looks fing baller.
You expecting something not being here?
