All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

I go there ecleast once a year every year and this will give me a even better reason to go next year, i'm suprised with what there getting cause they just got something new this year also. A B&M wing rider would be a great add to the other good rides they have.

If it has a 180 foot loop then its prob not a wing rider. I don't think they would put a loop on a wind rider anyways.

if it's NOT a wing rider, then my guess is the guy they talked to didn't mean to say Italy, he probably meant to say GERMANY in reference to Krake.

A 180-foot loop sounds ridiculous no matter what kind of coaster it is lol...and a loop wouldn't work too well on a dive machine anyway; it'd have to be too wide. Of course, now that I think about it, maybe that's why it's so big in the first place?

Guys, seriously? This is Dollywood.. You can't even see the park from Pigeon Forge easily... You all think there will be this gigantic coaster just towering out of nowhere? This is probably going to be a bit more creative than that.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

wasn't that barrier just broken?

in my opinion it seems that a loop on a wingrider would be awesome. i can already imagine half the loop, based on all S&S 4d coasters. I think it's possible.

I suppose I should have rephrased that. I agree that it's possible, but I also believe that it's unlikely. Gerstlauer is known for their weird shaping, while B&M is known for their perfect shaping. Thus, an extra-wide loop is unlikely to go on a B&M Dive Machine. That's my 2 cents.

Well when the signs say "The sky is not the limit, take off in 2012" It sounds like it would be a wingrider.

I don't understand how that makes it a wingrider... And isn't a wingrider train also wide??? The loop would still be wider, wingrider or dive machine.

Comparing the crossties of the tracks of the new Dollywood's coaster with the crossties of the tracks of Raptor, they're pretty much the same.

B&M Sitting Coasters, B&M Stand Up Coasters have the same kind of crossties.
B&M Inverts and Flyers also have the same kind of crossties.
B&M Dive Machines have wide tracks; mini DM's like Krake have classical Sitting Coaster crossties.
B&M tends to use different sizes and positions of crossties on their different kinds of coasters. Comparing the crossties of this coaster and the crossties of other B&M coasters is a good method to find the type of coaster we have.

I haven't checked every type of crosstie of B&M coasters but well.

Edit: Raptor:

Unknown Dollywood's B&M coaster:

Exactly SAME track shaping.

It's called terrain. The hill/mountain the ride is being built on probaly is 200' off the midway or more at some points. The loop could be inside the valley of 2 mountains and be hidden. Tennesse Tornado has huge ass loops and you can barely even see them INSIDE the park, let alone outside. The mountains also would block the ride from view of the front entrance and road up to the park.

Wow, 2012 is going to be a golden year for rollercoaster fans. I think loops and corkscrews combined with a wing-rider train will certainly provide a unique experience.
