How many tracks do you have loaded onto your no limits?

i have 302 rollercoasters on my no limits at the moment. i didnt realise i had quite that much on there. but im lowering that number by going through each downloaded rollercoaster and seeing which ones a wanna get rid of. the 302 rollercoasters i have aint just the downloaded ones by the way, its all of them from the updates and the rollercoasters you get when you purchase the game.

I've not got too many at the moment - still quite a newbie to the NoLomits world ;)

I've got 237... but I delete almost all of what I d/l (only my own final versions of stuff and good d/l's get kept).

If you took all of what I've ever had, it would be well over 1,000....

Likewise - I forget what it used to be like on dialup. I've not yet seen a coaster that took more than 30 seconds to download [:D]

It takes THAT long to download? For me, i just click download and bam, the ride pops up in the editor. If its a zip file, I just unzip it and it takes a few seconds.

Me too, it never takes 30 seconds to dl on my comp, and I have dial up, I don't know how many coasters I have, not too many though. I wish I had dsl though, then I would be able to watch streaming videos of coasters, it sucks when you just here music in the background and see a still pic, lol!

it takes me about .5-2 seconds to DL. I feel bad for everyone on dial.

Actually, I have Powerlink and it is the fastest. DSL is a CLOSE second, either one is almost equal, but I gotta say that powerlink is better, its hard to tell the difference though. With powerlink there is about a half-second download time.

Yeah, I have just a little more than 200 with a grand total of 530 files.

when i download off Kazaa, i am usually at 75-100 kbps. Either way, we both get tracks really fast. Thats why it doesn't matter if this place gets winzipped, it makes almost no difference in my time.

when i download a coaster its done straight away. it takes about half a second because i have a 1mb connection speed and it downloads at about 500k per second. there is a new 2mb connection out now. that would be really cool.

I think you might be mistaken there Andrew - it's impossible to get a 500KB/s download from a 1024Kb/s connection - the most you can get is somewhere around the 100KB/s mark...

This is because it's a 1024 kiloBIT connection, not kilobyte. There's 8 bits in a byte, plus a start and stop bit (it's asynchronous) and the parity bits - brings it down a fair bit (pardon the pun) [:(]

You probably wouldn't find the majority of your downloads are any faster on a 2Mb connection either, since at that point the server usually becomes the bottleneck (most servers aren't on anything more than a T1, 1.544Mb/s).

I do a bi-monthly scan of what tracks I like and dislike. I've done like 95 tracks since I bought it.

I have 1454 tracks in my NL dir. I've been downloading them since the game was released and have never deleted stuff.

So, well over 200[:)].
