I am having absolutely no problem with the patch, in fact I LOVE it. Glad I bought the full version of NL a couple years ago, and can't wait for NL2, I'll buy the full version of that too. As Spideyfan said, "It is a free update," and although it wasn't necessary, it was done anyway, not every day you get something for FREE. I really like the FPS control and every coaster I ran through the sim after installing the update seemed more smooth and realistic than V.1.7.

Oh look, complaints about a completely surprise updates with a few new things. GO figure.

None of this was planned or given to us to look forward to and people STILL complain. Good Lord. Some of you act as though we were promised one thing and given another...

I think you have made a very valid points Real and spacemountainfan619.

This was a very pleasent surprise and very unexpected. I think Ole and his team need bigging up rather than bringing down. Everybodys $'s invested into this is still paying out.

Don't get me wrong, the modeling is great and it was a nice surprise, but the demo track definitely highlights the flaws in the engine that handles the spinning.

That's understandable and I wasn't really directing that at you.

I am not really sure what you mean, if you have the full version all you have to do is download the patch and it automatically gets stored in the NL root folder.

There was a problem with the installer not detecting some versions of the game. I believe this is what the minor update is for.

You're all a bunch of divas, hahaha. This is an awesome update! Don't go right ahead telling them what they need to add next or add 'tomorrow'.

I actually find the cars and track to be beautifully modeled and very cool. The way it has reflections kind of remind me of rct3 quality rendering and lighting.

For those who are complaining about the track style choice, remember that this update is mainly about fixing a bug.
The NL team added the new car because they liked it, and wanted to give the update more fun.
The Zamperla spinner is not the main fact about this update, just a really cool aside. So be happy. [:D]

Yep. I tried using that reg key that everyone who has stolen it uses and it says invalid. (only because I have bought it and couldn't locate my own reg key at the time. Obviously its working for me now so I stole nothing :P )

They must have noticed somehow and patched that right up. Has to be a main reason for the update. Time to whip out some credit cards, boys

At this point, it feels like they're beating a dead horse. Would rather have new information on version 2. ready to give ole more of my dough.

Didn't anyone read the news post about this new "maintenance update"?

We recently detected a problem within the Mac version that might crash the program when trying to change the resolution inside the simulator. The problem only occurs using newer MacBooks with Intel graphics, however we confirmed it to be a bug in the simulator. In order to fix the problem we released a small maintenance update. Since we do not bring out updates this often we included a new coaster style as a surprise, the Zamperla Twister Coaster. While the Windows version is not directly affected, we brought out updates for all platforms, just in case. Have fun! You can download the free update in the official downloads. The full release version 1.6 or newer is required. The German retail version is currently not supported. [ol]

Originally, it wasn't even supposed to be pushed out to everyone - just mac users. Get over yourself and just deal with the fact that we got a minor update.

So after I installed the update, I no longer have crossties on the mine train track. Anybody else have this problem?

The NL team are aware of this problem. I don't have an ETA on when it'll be fixed though.
