I like Genesis Coupes. they are they are pretty nice. unfortunately they are also quite price.

The style is better than the price, but the engine isn't worth it. I always give them a long stare when I see them on the road, though; very respectable car.

Volkswagen Jetta VR6

It's a 2001 and it has tons of features like automated sunroof, seat memory settings, etc. And it's a manual. The V6 packed in that little car makes it GO. It has an early clutch engage and a narrower catch window than my brother's car, so it's tricky to drive at first (and when you're not paying attention lol). But that thing can really pick up speed, which is awesome since I love cars.

Also, the remote on the car keys doesn't fall apart like on the Mercury. That's because it has working A/C AND windows, so the car isn't 130 degrees while you drive, which means that the glue holding the keys remote doesn't melt. And it actually makes it drive-able in the summertime. YAY!

And the license plate indicates my gender, which is always helpful for picking up the ladies...

First three pics aren't working, but I can tell from the dash that you're driving a newer CX-7. My mom begged me to get that instead of my 3, but I like smaller cars too much. CX-7 is still supposed to be a good driver, one of the sportiest suv/cuv's out there.

Did you actually buy that car or did you take pics while test-driving it, haha, JK. My wife has a 99 protege and it still runs great, especially considering it was a rental car that she bought from Hertz. I am thinking about getting a Mazda 3 because I really like the way mazdas run and they are extremely fuel efficient and comfortable (excluding the m-5(miata) )

Lol I love my Mazda 3...it's super fun to drive and I get 33-37 mpg on the high way. Plus it looks cool and its comfortable (I drove it from San Antonio, TX to Orlando FL 4 times the last year and will be doing it again in August).

Not gonna lie, if I owned a car with mpg that low, it would have to be a supercar of some sort, or I'd be pretty pissed off Although the cars in my picutre make me look like a rainbow loving person driving a girls car, the two blue cars average 60mpg (although if I'm on the motorway and not doing 110mph, they'll do 70mpg) and the the red one which has a larger engine averages 55mpg


Currently about to buy another car, lining up a fiesta, but the older model. I need another car for driving to work!

Whoops, lol. I jumped on Mazda's website and started to look at interiors, the CX-7's dash almost matches that 3's. Welcome to the 3 club I've got the 2nd gen 3 hatch model and love it. Though I'm not a fan of the sedan, I'm sure its just as great to drive.

Something is seriously wrong with America's cars.

Gouldy: The national gas average is about $4/gallon (0.66 pounds per liter) so gas is cheaper. Although the problem is we often live 20+ miles (32+km) from work, so it adds up very quickly. America is a huge, spread out country, so mass transit doesn't work for us all that much except within cities.

That's the thing; a Mazda 3, although perhaps altered specifically for the American market before it leaves Japan, isn't an American car. The last time my mom was looking for a medium sized new car, a Mazda 3 was one of the cars she was looking at and it's fuel consumption on a combined cycle was 62mpg. Even the hot hatch Mazda 3 does 42mpg on a combined cycle. So, what's going on!? Do they just strap in a terrible engine in the American version of cars?

I don't get it, it's not like they don't have access to the technology. For example, although my car and Fords like the Focus and the Fiesta are designed and built by Ford's European arm, Ford is still an American company...

And yet, I get the feeling that to an American, 30mpg return on fuel would be something to be quite pleased with? I really don't get it.

Lol my 33-37 mpg is just as good and better than most cars driven in America!!!

As my daily driver, gets 28+ mpg with my driving style. 2002. 108k miles on it. Pretty zippy 2.0 engine. Fun.


My newest edition. Mainly for cruising or weekends when I wanna have a bit of fun.

Now before anyone gives me "spoiled brat" poop, I pay completely for both of my cars. I work 6 days a week for at least 8 hours a day, (sat and sun being at least 14) and pay for insurance on both, gas for both, and am paying off the loan on the Z. Just a heads up.

A friend of mine just got a Mazda Protage5. We for a ride in it, now I want one. lol

Sucks since gas in my area is going right back up again.....

Protege 5 was basically the predecessor to the 3 line up. My mom has an '02 protege 5, great car. They're cheap to get now, and they're good on gas, so you shouldn't be too concerned.

@gouldy: Different engines, yes. Ours (Mazda owners) are a bit more powerful standard. This was the last year for US-spec engines, though, hence making a 2.5 Mazda 3. Next year their engines will be globally the same with the sky-activ technology and engine. Euro-spec 3's and Mazda's already had some of the tech that's being put into next year's models.

Compare two base trim Mazda 3's and the US spec will blow the euro model away, but yours wins the gas mileage war til next year.
