I saw this topic on RCTLounge.

Really, if it gets passed "as is", NoLimits footage as well as music synced to it will be completely illegal. Not that nobody will do it anymore, but that's the case.

Yeah I heard this from a video on youtube.. A couple of the youtube celebs became famous from lip syncing songs so this would really screw them over.

Sent one in from my household...as said, even your friends singing kaoroke would be a crime. What a joke.

Blame the media companies...they think theyre just so destitute for cash that any way they can grab a few extra bucks is worth all the trouble.

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

The popular opinion doesn't matter, it's what the fat old people elected think that matters.

Allow me to correct you: the popular opinion doesn't directly matter. To a certain degree, the elected people will vote in favor of what their constituents want; it's all part of politics. Granted, the bribes they're getting from the RIAA and MPAA will likely outweigh their reelection, but to say popular opinion doesn't matter isn't entirely true.

this law wont make a difference because they have the power to take them down now this will just add a punishment if the owner of the copyright isnt okay with it.

Unless it's in the House or Senate.

If politicians were smart they'd have a real job.

These days, you never know. After drowning in money from MAFIAA bribes, they can then campaign the poop out of everything and the sheeple who don't know how to turn on their computer (only their TV) will vote them back in.
