I don't mind handing out invites or whatever so if you want an invite send me a PM with your email (I think it has to be a gmail email though).

It looks good, this is going to be big if they can work some layout issues out.

I think it's a pretty cool idea. However, they're about 6 years too late, I'm afraid. I think facebook's market share is just too big and that the majority of users won't bother switching.

I think it's quite dumb that there needs to be multiple social websites to compete with each other when in reality we all just want one social site that everybody can use. Google+ is a little redundant because of this.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

If the multiple sites were able to somehow integrate all or most of their features (especially the friends lists) I think all of our internet problems would be immediately solved; because then everyone could use whichever UI they preferred.

I think google+ will work. Twitter is about following/advertising and FB seems to be more about how many forms of advertisments they can fit in. If google+ doesn't go down the use me for advertising route it may have a place as an actual social network. I like the way you can classify people and the way the circles work, keeps what you are up to to the people that you want to know not just everyone.

I think that the way it works there should be a coastercrazy circle..

I am Gav Greenway, anyone else wanna share there user name on google+ for a CC circle the ball has started rolling lol [:D]

made my own circle, I would say it would be nice to just be put in the same circle but feel they want to keep it up to the individual user. It would be a nice option to share a circle if invited.

Users don't have to switch, they're already using it. But for now it's still called Android, GMail, Google TV, Maps, Docs, Search or Youtube.

That combination is not an alternative to facebook; google+ is an alternative to facebook. I just don't know how quickly or well this will take off, given Facebook's head start.

Yahoo, Lycos....lots of search engines had huge headstarts over Google and now the word Google, even though it means (well, a googol) 10 the 100th power but today, Google means "to search" basically.

I wouldnt underestimate them. No matter how much of a headstart anyone has. Before Google I always used Yahoo. Now, I sometimes wonder if Yahoo still exists (I know it does...its just...why bother with it? LOL)

Given that Facebook developers can't code and design for poop, I'd much rather use Google+ once they get going. FB had a few good ideas and landed in the right place at the right time to drag in some sheeple who will use no other internet method of communication. I hope G+ drives them out, even though that probably won't happen seeing as how Google is really late to this kind of thing.
