Hey everyone,

It seems ages since I posted a Hard Hat thread. But here I am posting Falcon, a 173ft tall B&M Invert with 6 inversions.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Prelift area which dives out of and underneath the station - similar to Nemesis Inferno.

So far it looks pretty damn realistic looking. From my point of view, shaping looks awesome. Nice neat colors, too. I'm looking forward to seeing progress

Looks great! It's also great to see older members coming back, seems like there's been a lot of that recently...

Thanks for the comments so far. It's good to see people enthusiastic about the ride.

UPDATE:

So I've had a very busy week moving house etc. so very little work has been done. However this afternoon I managed to get the one (and only) tunnel created. I have not learnt how to texture properly yet so excuse the grass textures not working together.

I've also obviously done a bit of supporting.

Is your drop more like Raptor or Silver Bullet? It's hard to tell, but just some knowledge, Silver Bullet's Drop is super boring, whereas Raptor's has some kick to it.

Seems like a raptor drop to me.

I wouldn't dare build something as boring as Silver Bullet's drop...

Most definitely a raptor-esque drop. Train is heading into the steep bank kick that raptor does too; this just looks a tad larger/drawn out, but when you add both those qualities, it still equals raptor drop fun.

EDIT: Problem sorted by deleting the .3ds file!

OK so i've come across a problem.

I was making my own footer and trying to position it in the editor, but when I imported it into the NL editor it got placed really far into the distance. So far in fact that it cannot be seen at all in the editor (and cannot be selected and therefore deleted).

It can be seen in the simulator though (which is the problem).

Any ideas on how to delete 3d objects without selecting them in the editor?

Unselect display on everything except for 3D's, then select all, and delete. That is, if you don't have other 3D's in which you want to keep. Still you could just deselect those after selecting all.

Thanks for the tip Justin. Got the problem sorted.

UPDATE:

So I've been working on the station and doing some preliminary supporting. Again, I still haven't learnt how to texture properly so I'm mainly just using colours at the moment.

Incredible work! I can't seem to find anything in the shaping to complain about, it seems like you just nailed it all. Supports look fantastic (great job on that one .3ds immelman support btw), your station looks very promising and that tunnel will look very nice as fast as you get a texture for the ground. So yeah, this is probably going to be awesome and I I'll be following it closely.

Thanks for all the comments :)

UPDATE:

So I've been very busy in the last 24 hours supporting and its now 90% done. I have to do the station supports, flanges (with nuts and bolts) and those supports that hold the catwalks up.

I decided to redo the .3ds immelman support for a more up to date version:

Is that transition out of the MCBR as rough as it looks? I realize you're probably not looking for tracking suggestions at this point, but it's something I noticed.

That's rough? Looks very smooth to me. Transition doesnt even look fast.

I guess not rough, but more awkward. The more I look at it the better it looks, but there still seems to be something off. It's probably just the angle, though, since it really is a pretty weird angle.
