If you go to their website, the home page opens with "Prepare to be blown away...IT'S COMING..." then and explosion which reveals a giant 2012 with the quote "If I ride only one ride in 2012, this is the one!"

I didn't see any topic about this so if there is one hiding I apologize, but any thoughts/reports/rumors? As far as I know there has been little to no discussion or news about this one.

CANADA'S WONDERLAND HOME PAGE where the explosion dmillz describes is.

There is some early construction pics of stakes and rebar HERE. There is speculation that there will be some more news on the 1ST of August which has been reported HERE.

Other rumours I have heard are that it will be an 8 inversion coaster and Intamin has been named. Of course they are rumours and to be honest at this point it could be almost anything.

Ok now that you mention that I very faintly remember someone mentioning that on a different thread, but it was only briefly brought up. That would be awesome if it was something of that nature. CW really needs another high end coaster.

I go to the park every week and this thing really picked up quickly, there are all kinds of rumours flying around about how this will be taller than Behemoth, go through Dragon Fire's loops, etc. Seriously excited for whatever this is though, if any track or supports arrive I'll be taking pics and posting them here.

A couple construction pictures. There is seriously a lot going on, and some weird markings out in the parking lot (and some other stakes close by under a tree). After going for a look at the entire site, I'm beginning to think it's going to be a lot bigger than I originally thought..

WHY?! Demon drop was a fantastic ride. Good free fall, nice G's at the bottom. Sure, if it'd been smoother, that would have been nice, but it was still one of my favorite drop rides. Plus, it's not like they got anything better to replace it. Windseeker is a fantastic addition, but why couldn't they have thrown out the swinging ship and kept Demon Drop?

I don't even know where the August 1st rumor came from haha, it just kind of popped up. As far as I know, some guys on another forum just said they had heard something was going to happen on Monday but that's about it. I'm going to get back to the park tomorrow, though, if I can, just to see if anything's happening.

20 bucks says it's an Intimidator clone with a modified brake section kind of like how Desert Race at Heide Park is Rita with a turn after the brakes or something dumb like that.

lol if I were anywhere near CW I'd be ecstatic with an Intimidator clone. Here's hoping they can one up it with maybe an extra straight ejector hill or two halfway through to kill off speed so they can go without the trim.

WOW. I honestly wasn't expecting anything big to go to CW, but this is actually quite exciting...might have to take a road trip up to Canada [:D]

I did some research on the UCC group and it turns out that they do landscaping and similar stuff. I'm expecting something like the canyon things on Maverick.
Also who knows what a 'grade beam' is, just because it says that on the tag.
**EDIT**
They also provide construction services so they will almost certainly be the ones doing the construction work.
Here is a link to their website.
