Investigators in Osceola County said they've nabbed the ringleader of a major theme park ticket re-sale operation.
Robert Licata was picked up at one of his ticket shops Tuesday night. Deputies said he runs at least four shops along U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee.
He had at least a dozen people working for him who would resell Disney, SeaWorld, and Universal tickets, investigators said.
They said in all, they re-sold at least $1 million in tickets. But when people went to use them, they were no good.
One of Licata's workers defended him.
??????They're trying to make their money, too. What would you rather them do? Sell drugs??????? he said.
Two weeks ago, Osceola County deputies arrested more than a dozen people who worked at Licata??????s ticket shops up and down US Highway 192.
When deputies arrested Licata at his shop they said they found $2,300 in cash and 215 theme park tickets. They also seized two cars.
Licata has since bonded out of jail.
