So I was talking about tidewater glaciers yesterday with my professor and some retarded person mentioned that they were on an ice shelf and saw the turbid plume making a morainal bank at the efflux while they were in Alaska which is CLEARLY stupid and ridiculous. I seriously what a dumb, uneducated, and worthless person for not knowing that kind of obscure thing like I do.

Well, they do look kind of similar...

I can understand someone without a complex knowledge mistaking them.

That's why I was hoping they were talking about Steel Force...this happened up by Talon and only a slight bit of the lift is visible from that spot...otherwise I would have dismissed it, but I was slightly worried that they were not referring to SF haha.

In the comment section, I read this:

This is Xelerator

I think I laughed harder than I should have.

So people actually think this is funny.... AND it was on America's Funniest Home Videos. There's no hope for this country.

Doing height check yesterday on Talon:

"I don't like the back seat, it goes so slow, the front is so much faster. Did you know that sometimes the front seats pop off the cart because they are going so fast?"

Not only was there statement inaccurate (not technically but from a riders point of view the back FEELS faster) but then the question was horribly wrong.

It's funny because he is nowhere near falling out. He's just deforming as the fat piece of poop he is.

NoLimitzki, that's a really funny comment. It sounds stern. Hahahaha

And the video is pretty funny because the "Mom" doesn't really seem to notice.

Your logic is flawless; however, this thread is still pretty funny. Most of the "stupid" comments are pretty much lack of common sense if you think about it.

I tend to say things like these because

a) It winds up some coaster enthusiast in the queue

b) I like to see how much I can get my mates/gf into thinking is true :D

Jonny there is a giant orange piece of Raging Bull looming overhead. It's an honest mistake.

I hate to dig up old topics, but this made me laugh. I was on an Eejanaika video and as expected, most of the comments were about X^2.

This one made me laugh the most:
But didn't They Move X To Japan??? To Make Room for X2?

I did this --> [lol]

Today we had a seat that was unavailable and had orange flagging tape around it. A guest got on and looked at me and said "Mister, which one of the seats is broken?"

After having the urge to just walk away and cry in the fetal position, I politely pointed and said, "This one ma'am."

Ay Ay Ay...

I went to Holiday World yesterday (hooray for first and maybe ONLY park of the year!!!), and fortunately, I didn't hear anything too lame. Not even another one of those "OMG don't get your head chopped off like that girl on The Raven" comments!

Epic BUMP!!!!!!!!! BUMP BUMP BUMP!!!!

With the Theme Park season rapidly approaching, I think it's a good time to bring this topic back from the dead. Last month I was at DCA standing in line for California Screamin' and overheard someone saying that they had just gone to Knott's and were talking about Xcelerator and said that it is the fastest coaster in the world and that it has 2 loops and you go backwards and forwards. SMH! Xcelerator is one of my favorite coasters, so I felt insulted and hurt at the same time, My heart stopped for a second, then the enthusiast in me really took over and I thought for a minute, a new version of Xcelerator with the worlds fastest launch and inversions would be pretty sick. Just sayin,

This is a bit far stretched for this topic, but I figure i'd post it anyway,
After my Volcano Rollback last week, 4 people in rows behind us were freaking out. They were saying, "GET ME OFF, GET ME OFF!" "I DON'T WANT TO RIDE EVER AGAIN!" And these were things they were still saying after the Ride Ops had told us we were completely safe. 4 seats were wasted on that rollback and I am sure there would have been so many enthusiasts that would have rather taken her their place.

You're kidding me.

Anywho South africans know absolutely crap about roller coasters. So The Golden Loop (AKA White Lightning) has been classified among many here to be the fastest accelerating roller coaster in the world.

"The Tower of Terror = Steepest drop ever."
"The Anaconda was Gold Reef City's attempt to copy the SLC at Ratanga Junction."

Not to mention stuff like:

"How does the people not fall out?"
"What keeps the train on the track"
"I heard bra this thing runs on a V8 Lumina SS motor."
"That thing must be like 40 G's"
"90 km/h? Bullshit I rode it, it was at least 300 km/h!"

I can go on but typing this made me loose brain cells...

It's a shame that GRC has such a strange and unique set of coasters and theming while there's almost no one here to admire them for what they are.
