I think we can all agree that bigger roller coaster projects tend to result in straying here and there to find a badly needed distraction. I needed something fun for me to do when I couldn't bear to look at my GG Wooden for much longer, haha. This is said distraction, and it'll be done September 1st and on the exchange. Butterfly II is a smaller project, but it packs a lot of punch, two launches, and entertaining flight maneuvers all in a space conserving profile.

*This was a retort to Coasterkidmwm, thanks for deleting his post guys

Dude just stay out of my threads. And you're the idiot.

That block length of track is about the same duration as either of my blocks, if not, just a tad shorter. And those trains have 4 less seats.

^^Elaborate plz.

Looks great. The 180 degree corkscrew is an element ive wanted to do for a LOONG time but dammit you got to it before me. Grrr.

This ride totally looks like a jet coaster with that color scheme btw

^What 180 element are you referring to? Haha, the small one or the big one?

I'll take the color scheme comment as a compliment.

Image

Supports go in slowly and edited up slowly - as usual. I'm going to put minor 3Ds in this ride. I have to touch up the ol' scenery magic to prepare for tunneling parts of my GG.

Image

Top of the tallest element, face-down dive with mild hang time.

Miniscule Update w/ rando new shots (08/06)---------

Image

The big graceful soaring turn. The lie-to-fly prior to this turn as well as this turn are the gentlest points of the ride. They occur immediately before the most forceful point as well as the last element, lol.

Image

That one. I'm probably going to take out the trims. It's still fine without them, the human in a lying position can take pretty substantial g's.

There's that if you never figured out the layout, can't remember how thorough my initial teaser one was.

This project looks pretty damn awesome; I'm excited to see more. Are you planning on doing any theming?

^^Ehhh, yeah I want to do some objects but I can't get the object creator to work on my laptop- plus I'd rather find a better program for scenery. If anyone can give me some direction there I'd love that.

^Why if I may ask don't you read my captions Mikey! I took them out, the part wasn't even straight anyway so it would have taken extra work to edit that element for trims, when they are not even necessary.

That screenshot was taken before I bailed on them. I just wanted to see what they would be like. Defeated the purpose of my ride though, running the cars into high forced elements without much speed control. That particular dive loop takes on about 4.7 accel g's. The second upwards half loof [after the first launch] takes on about 4.9 - 5.0; I'm willing to bet that is safe for the most part.

But yep, no trims.

Well thanks for your interest. It's a pretty fun roll movement. That's my third favorite element of the ride haha, or rather, 3rd most desired element in a real-life roller coaster I could ride.

Haha it's weird to think it's been 5 months since an upload! On my end, I've been on NoLimits at least 5 days a week recently, huh.. weird.

Thanks though Archy. Hope you like. Few weeks yet before upload.

Those colors are beautiful...I'm definitely looking forward to this, but if you're going for the more modern, super compact vekoma flyer style, I'd say you unfortunately failed pretty miserably [:P] fortunately it still looks like one of the best flyers this site has ever seen.
