Hey, school started back for me about a week ago [:(]. So what better way to celebrate than make a back to school roller coaster!
Well, the theme is not exactly school related, it is called Halo. i have the track work done, but not much else.

This looks really cool! I've tried and failed and couple of times to do a "mini" B&M hyper, but you've managed to successfully capture the style in smaller format. I had previously tried to create something a bit like Hollywood Dream, but mine turned out rubbish.

I think I'd, personally, change the colours, though.

Track looks good, realistic kinda like a park might buy it if they wanted a hyper but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a really long one.

I don't know if they're final yet, but the supports at the top of the lift look really wierd. It doesn't look like you've got other track underneath it, so why can't the vertical beam go straight down from the track like this? http://www.rcdb.com/m/4005.htm?p=21611

Are you drunk?! [lol] If so, I'm very impressed with your ability to give (mostly) coherent feedback while under the influence [;)]

anyway RWN, the ride looks pretty cool. I'm interested in the shaping of the hammerhead, but then again, with Leviathan's new hammerhead, damn near anything can be "realistic" these days [:P]. Keep up the good work!

Leviathan: Making oddly shaped hammerheads acceptable since 2011. [lol]

Haha, thanks. I was modeling the supports after this (can you guess lol).

And the supports definitely aren't final, you can't see it in this these pics, well you kind of can. You see in my first pic that the track connecting support is ugly.

Yes, he was ^.^ he promised to give feedback on my coaster when he was at his drunkest!

And as for the hammerhead, i tried to make that super good because...

1.I hate how people make poor hammerheads.
2.It is my favorite part on Diamondback.

Pretty simple and traditional, looks good! The supports look pretty nice at this point, realistic and in the proper B&M style.

Looks actually pretty fun for the size. A little too short for my taste but it is realistic I'll give you that.
Hope the lift supports aren't done though.

Too short, but a small park would eat it up.
A man has needs and that needs is booze.

I still don't like those supports, but then again I don't like the supports on Diamondback either so I'm probably never going to like yours.

But if you insist on keeping them, you should definitely do something about the join between the diagonal support and the one that connects to the track. If you connect them to the same node you get that wedge shaped gap which looks terrible. You need to extend them both past eachother so the outside edges meet up.

I think the lift is a bit over supported.

Might also want to check for a nasty pump at the top of the lift hill, because it looks like there are some radii inconsistencies there.

Thank you for your concern guys, I'm redoing the supports right now, but if these come out bad I will get meta to support.

Hey guys! After meta being too busy to support, we came to the conclusion that the track could be better. So I deleted everything and started from scratch. There is also a new theme and what not.

I'm not that far in, so I'm looking for some testers to help me with better shaping. Any one who wants to test just give me a pm with your email.

Forgot to mention, that this isn't a 'mini' rollercoaster anymore, its height is 215 ft.

Put that thought to rest. It's only a little above 3300 ft.

The first drop is off looking. The consistent radius at the top of the lift is too small, and the drop is too straight looking after that initial radius at the top, where it just seems to flatten out. Look at the drop on Goliath for reference.

The shaping could be better on the hills too, they dont seem to be steep enough, especially that third pic. Also, there is no real star element to the layout, or anything that i find particularly interesting. Maybe even just a couple crossovers or something. I think the track has some more work to be done if you really want an exciting and realistic ride.

Thanks kyle, I will definitly go back and redo the layout, some cross overs, and maybe a helix at the end. Maybe if you are interested, you can test the ride for me.
