i rode iron wolf when it first opened, actually just before, on military night 1990 the funniest part was riding a coaster with snow on the ground under it . i remember liking it quite a bit the times i rode it . it also seems to be historic so i'm glad it's getting saved.
People seem to think new trains will make it less rough or whatever, but I really feel like it suffers a bit from the whole not really being heartlining super well because it's so old thing.
Like when it opened it didn't even use the standard B&M shoulder harnesses (the yellow ones it has now) and it had some red ones (intamin?).
It's not a bad ride, it was just never really a priority.
Also the drop into the corkscrew kind of hurt my nuts in the back seat since floater air into a tight turn followed by a very whippy corkscrew in the opposite direction gives them a good slam. The trac is set up so they can add a trim at any time which they never did.
Personally I'm more annoyed they killed the car ride for the new coaster. Maybe in the coming years they can add another flat ride to replace it.
Then again the badass Demon artwork, the fact that the Whizzer still runs, and the Little Dipper relocation thing is kind of stand out for the chain since they never do stuff like that.
:(((((((((
That was my favorite ride at the park! Oh well, the replacement looks fun I guess...although I would've much rather had Dark Knight replaced.
