With the new Six Flags rides coming out and some of them featuring names/themes that are re-used, what is your opinion on the use of the same name for multiple rides?

Personally I like originality and each ride having its own identity, but with the Batman rides and Superman rides I could understand if the Ultimate Flight rides all have the same name because they are virtually identical. I do wish however that the new one at Discovery Kingdom would have a unique name/theme.

I personally don't care. It's the ride that counts.

Like Apocalypse? That's one name I was disappointed with...the "Last Stand" thing makes sense...but I still would have liked an original name for that one.

rides are geting lamer and tamer, with the exception of a very few, especially at chain parks, at this point they could call it " hobo turd, the ride" and i wouldn't care so long as the ride is any good..

The only time it's bad is when you name rides "Goliath" when they are 100ft tall and there's a much taller version of it down the sidewalk. *coughFiestaTexascough*

Same with Flashback. Honestly, I felt the SFOT version was a better fit for the name than the SFMM ride.

I don't care what a ride is called, is more how it rides.

Yeah i agree. It's suited for some espically for SFMM but not for others. And i really wish SFNE would come up with a different name

^ Yea. For God's sake keep the Deja Vu name...they got rid of those so now all the Deja Vu coasters are basically gone/under new names.

i think same or similar coasters in a series are fine. or even if the use part of the name (aka nemesis and nemesis inferno) but especially in a place like america where the coasters are a long way apart then its fine. i would say no coasters with the same name within a 200 mile radius
