This has probably been asked before....

Why can't Tia's track packager be used to post a coaster here? It would save a trip to coastercandy and installs what's needed automatically. I can see if its a question of disk space on your server, but as useful as the track packager is on both ends, maybe some space could be magically created for such things (It's available free at Tia's site and I think at CoasterCandy as well)(which I'm sure most of you already know).

You have no idea how much this site costs to run a month. Although this topic has been raised by staff so I wont give a yes or no answer here. As for if we do allow it, we will have to rewrite some rules, editn our disclaimers and liabilities a bit, which isn't a big deal, but money is to me. As people will start uploading track packages and VERY soon many of them will be using the same set of files as others which in my opinion is wasted space use.

if i use a track packager i put it in a zip and upload it, but i'll announce that it's a trackpackager, or else mac people will complain about it that's it's a mac... But there are people who DON'T read the text but imediatly download[:(!]

I do have an idea what a site costs to run, and I didn't consider the duplication-of-files-factor...thanks for answering the question, if I ever do want to use the track packager, I guess I'll be putting it up at costercandy.
