Maybe the Mine Train coaster should be included?

I like the judging style of this contest. I kind of wounder if you thought about it or if Oscar told you about my idea which was more or less the same as yours on the results. Should be an interesting idea.

Purely coincidence that the ideas arose at the same time. Part of the reason was because I feel like my ratings are too subjective to single-handedly declare a winner, and the other reason was because I wanted to compete also, since this is the first time in years that I've actually felt like building coasters.

Cool contest. Won't do it (strapped for time), but looks epic. Can't wait to see the entries! Also, haven't started sentences properly throughout this entire post. Nice.

May I delete the outline of Magnum XL 200 (1989: "whats that?")? It's distracting me too much and making my coaster more and more like it.

A: (quoted from rules) "It is just there as a reference. Do what you want with it."

So no mine train? I feel that only having the corkscrew will result in more loopers and less hypers.

Do not think too much of it, it's just the track type cjd appointed to this contest. It doesn't mean that you MUST include corkscrew elements. You're totally free, so you can do whatever you want with it, keeping in mind the goal of the contest.

Okay, I guess I'll accept a mine train also... I just generally prefer the corkscrew track for hypercoasters because the wooden base boards annoy me. But yeah, I can definitely see someone choosing the mine train over the corkscrew track because of the more-accurate coaster cars, so I'll accept that too.

Just don't use the flipping locomotive front... those things annoy the hell out of me, and make the coaster much harder to rate for no good reason. 'kay? [:p]

One of the reasons I suggest that is the texture of the wooden ties can be changed in the .env file.... right? I've never tried it.

Sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of yourself to get the job done.

If you mean the Magnum layout, then yes, you can do whatever you want with it. I only put it there because I figured some people would like to have it there as a reference point.

That needs so much more work, imo. you have until the 24, which is 2 whole weeks. You should have worked on it until that point absolutly perfecting it. Also the station isn't where its supposed to be. Just trying to help
What are these for?

What do you mean the station isn't where it's supposed to be? This isn't the "re-create Magnum" contest. I followed the instructions that were given. My coaster is built within the allowed area on the template.

Besides, I don't expect many people to follow through with this.

The coaster's station must be contained completely below Perimeter Parkway, the purple road area that runs diagonally in the bottom-right.

Your Station was above not below.

I didn't mean for you to get defensive I'm just suggesting you should have put more time into it is all. I don't ever finish contest rides because I often don't have the time to put as much into as I would like. Now in college for design and none of my projects having anything to do with Architecture, which is my major, I've quickly realized that I half-ass things alot instead of making it perfect. I'm suggesting to you to not do that not just for this but everything really. I'm sorry if I offended you or if it was an inappropiate place to put my post, perhaps I should have said it in a rate, where I can be much more specific
What are these for?

Actually, you seem to have missed this rule in the "template restrictions" section...

"The coaster's station must be contained completely below Perimeter Parkway, the purple road area that runs diagonally in the bottom-right."

The area that you built the station in would not even be inside the park, it would be all the way out in Camper Village.
