I know it gives away things but a Drachen Fire style drop is very hard to shape perfectly, and I think anyone that can do itis certainly better than I am

This goes for all types of coasters: Don't shape based on what the elements look like. Learn how they are manufactured, then shape elements based on that, if that makes any sense.

Hey lets refrain from judging until you actually see the entries.

I've been working on mine for a few hours a day taking a break between classes and midterms and I'm only up to the MCBR, not even counting smoothing everything out or supporting

I've spent the last few days working a lot on my ride, and I've got a nice layout, all "smoothed" (or as smooth as an old arrow should be, anyway...) and I'm about 1/3 done with supports I'd say (they're mostly going to be prefabs with extra connectors).

Same, I've gotten to the MCBR. I like what layout I have so far though, and am very eager to show it. I've also did the lift supports and pre ride supports.

Just finished my butchering my layout in newton. Not my best work but it'll do.

There's not much "smoothing" to do on an arrow, lol. It's pretty straightforward.

no not much but i generally place a layout that doesn't go all crazy with gs and just smooth it out after, most of my smoothing here will just be depumping turns that are a little too harsh

Actually, scratch this. I can't. Family emergency.

i got all my layout done. the layout is extramly classic arrow and has fantastic heartlineing and leadins. plenty of head bangers and wonderful classic elements

As an aside, is there any particular reason supports aren't allowed in the pathway beneath perimeter parkway? There are supports there on the real Magnum. Not a huge deal, but building a bridge at 13 feet off the ground immediately after leaving the station (which shouldn't be much more than about 15 feet above the ground...) seems like an engineering challenge that isn't really too useful.

^Good point, I was wondering what to do there.... forgot the real ride has a support there.....

Wow I can't believe I'm saying this but I already need to drop out. I was just given a few huge assignments in school and I'll be out of town next weekend. I simply don't have the time I assumed I'd have to do this. If I even attempted to compete now, my work would be rushed and half-assed. I would have liked to do this, but oh well.

Okay, you're 100% correct about that. Then in that case, you can put a support in the middle of the footpath that runs vertically across the station-building area, and the track height limit has been reduced to 10 ft in that area based on the below picture. (In that area ONLY, though. The rules for Perimeter Parkway, Gemini Parking, and Camper Village area are still the same. No footers, and a clearance of at least 13 ft.

As of today, 1 week remains until the deadline.

Me personally, it took me this long just to come up with a concept. I'll be basing my coaster on Playland's classic Airplane Coaster. I might or might not have enough time to finish it, but hey, I'm still going to try. Trackwork shouldn't take too long since this is an Arrow coaster we're talking about...

I decided to fully custom support the ride everywhere that box supports are used and am currently still struggling through the lift hill.

I've got a layout done, I'm just smoothing certain things out such as making stright things that have become crooked straight again and depumping my turns. So far its like magnum with a drachen fire influence
