I am beginning to run out of good coaster inversions for my rides. What I would call original would be a loop and another loop in the same region to make a double loop, and my original ideas are no longer considered original. Any good new adrenaline-pumping designs for existing trains, such as Intamins and B&Ms? Some good inversions that are original and relatively rare include:

Cutbacks
Top Hats
Norwegians
Pretzels

See if you can make a better camelback, loop or roll to enter a new era of turning a rider upside down. I have created Loop-Camel+90 combos (Toxin) as well as Extended Vertical Helixs (Spin Cycle), but that's as far as I got.

Could we perhaps see screenshots of these? They sound rather interesting.

I haven't had a whole lot of ideas for new elements lately, but it's really how you use old elements that matter. Let me put this in perspective:

Coasters are like movies, in that everything original has been done before. But, we still go to see new movies, do we not? Why is this? We go to see new movies for the same reason we see new coasters: the old elements have been recycled in a refreshing new way.

You forgot the corkscrew into sweeping turn element in that list since the only coaster I've ever seen it in is drachen fire. on another note I'm suddenly obsessed with that ride and wish I could've rode it
What are these for?

^Um, trust me, you don't wish you could have. I rode it in 1997, and it was the roughest coaster I have ever been on. My head has never been smashed against the OTSR's so many times and with such force during one single ride.

I've been debating dropping a double 0g roll into an Intamin for a while, but I haven't quite yet due to the storm of "unrealistic" comments I'll get.

I just think that particular element is really interesting. Also a double 0g rides pretty nice if you do it right. I believe there is a roller coaster on this site with that element
What are these for?

Thats a cutback I believe
Friendship is like peeing. Everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling it brings.

Wrong.

A cutback is like a half-cork, then another half cork but coming back on yourself. So you can use it as a turn-around.

Ironically though, Drachen Fire does have one. There are only 2 coasters in the world that have one.

Here's a portion of the extended vertical helix (basically a double loop with each loop diminishing in size)that can be extended to make long funnels, and the inversion in Toxin. The g-forces keep the first inversion in the fantasy range and a +90 drop isn't really very B&M-like.

Don't mix problems of shaping and unrealism [:D] If you include it into an Intamin ride I would expect you to think "how the hell would Intamin shape that" [;)] I'm highly encouraging original elements so go ahead, we'll see how it turns out!!

I've always thought an "ejector roll" would be a hell of a lot of fun. I put one in a few of my older rides, but I've really sort of strayed away from those kinds of elements as of late.

I've dabbled with an ejector roll, but I didn't use it out of fear of comments regarding unrealistic forces and shaping. I may try to implement it into a coming ride seeing as how more and more people are getting bored with conventionality.

Using newton or FVD, it's really easy to get a nice-looking one, or at least nice-looking as far as I'm concerned lol. Others may think differently, but I don't really care [:)]
