!3rd Generation Giga Coaster Contest!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Contest description:

This is a contest to see who can design the best 3rd Generation Giga Coaster (Intamin). Now, we all know about Millennium Force and Intimidator 305, they are both very different. Millennium Force was also opened a whole 10 years before Intimidator 305, Intimidator is the 2nd generation of Intamin Giga Coaster, your goal is to design the 3rd generation which would be set to open in 2020.

Rules:
-Your ride MUST be within 300-399 feet
-Your ride MUST be unique, nothing like the current Gigas, but still stay realistic!
-Your ride MUST not have anything to do with the current themes, that means no space-like themes or racing
-Your ride MUST be the Hyper (2 seat) type! (Already chosen in this template)
-Your ride MUST have 8-10 cars per train with at LEAST 2 trains!
-You ARE allowed to tarraform, but it MUST not come above 50 feet
-You ARE allowed to use 3Ds (they can go where ever you want, as much as you want)
-And obviously, have fun!!!

The boundaries:
*These colors are as they would be in the simulator*
Green= Station track MUST be in this space.
White= No track or supports are allowed outside of this.
Red= Supports are not allowed to touch ground here.

*You are allowed to put scenery anywhere you desire, that means no scenery restraints*

Ways to win:
-Include your own special element
-Use custom supports
-Use 3D's (if you are able to)
-Create a smooth track

Time frame:

All designs have to be uploaded to Coaster Crazy by Saturday, January 21st 2012, this should be plenty of time!!

Contestants:

Onjin

Once the contest has reached it's deadline, the contestants will rank each others track, and the tracks will be ranked by average score (that same way it was done on the Party Like It's 1989 Contest).

Count me in for now. Not sure if I will have a lot of time with my current project rolling however.

Guess everyone should download the cable lift environment. Forget who made it and it may only be available on NL-Exchange site.

I'll tentatively sign up. Can't promise anything though as I see a busy few months ahead in college work.

Me too. I'm kinda interested in seeing what I can do with the given boundaries.

How to join? I want to try this but im not sure ill finish.

I bombed the 1989 contest but ill try another contest, I lost all inspiration lately. this time the topic is about something im a little better at...how long can the coaster be? How tall? the directions are kind of confusing, say could i make a 3 mile-long coaster at 365 feet?

Can it be launched instead of a lift, e.g. a 300' tall accelerator?

If you view it in the sim or check the individual support colors you'll see that he means the actual color of the boundaries, not the color in the editor.

Hey, chill out, man, these contests are all about getting better. One of the good things about them is that you are guaranteed to get reviews on your coaster, so you're guaranteed to learn. Don't worry about criticism, and have fun building!

tarraform? What is that? Someone needs to proof-read these things because that's not the only error...

Look in the simulator itself. It's only in the editor that everything's red.

It needs to have a cable lift, or else it would't actually fit the term Giga.

It actually was proofread many times, but the ride description was completely skipped over so it is probably best if you use the ones in the first post.

^ Yes I realize that but could it also have a launch, in addition to the lift?
