The bright track color looks awesome. Also I love the layout on this and the track shaping is gonna look sooo good.

Friendship is like peeing. Everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling it brings.

Hershey park released renderings of Skyrush to show what the skyline will look like when it is complete.

Wow that is going to absolutely dominate the skyline in the area of the park.

That's going to be an absolutely beautiful ride over there. I'm glad they're using the I305-stly lift supports; otherwise I think it would look really, really ugly.

^ They almost have to use the I-305 lift support style. I think I head something about them not being able to build in that creek that runs through the park.

Yeah The can't build in the creek, thats why Great Bear has such unique supports. And plus since they're building over comet that gives them another reason to use the I305 supports. also It looks like the station is inbetween the line for comet, and the Tilt-a-Whirl, which is a very tight space.
What are these for?

I'm not saying they had a choice in the matter; just that I'm glad it's what the end result was. Looking forward to it!

Okay, that's definitely going to dominate pretty much the entire view of the park when you first walk in. I'm really starting to look forward to this, especially with the tight space they're cramming it into. That whole area has some nice terrain, so this is going to be interesting.

the only problem i have is the location.....This thing is awesome for sure...but its going to poop all over the comet....they basically are setting the comet up for failure in the future...aka maybe being taken away in the future...which sucks cause this ride has such a good history!

But Great Bear dominates over sooperdooperlooper but its still there and when I was there this summer it had a pretty decent line, Actually every time I've been to hershey Comet has had a longer wait time that Wildcat and lightning racer combined, so I think while this will certainly shorten that line quite a bit it will still get quite alot of ridership

Really, people are still going to ride Coment. Sure, everyone is going to want a piece of the new coaster, but that line is always going to be so long, plus most people who go to Hersheypark go for fun, not the big coasters. The ridership of Comet is still going to be fine, and if anything, they'll take it out for being too old and rickety. I think the Comet still has some time left.

New update! Track and support work are taking place!

www.keystonethrills.wordpress.com

The bottom of the drop looks pretty close to the ground. They might have to dig some of that away. I doubt that would be enough clearance for the outer seat.

Sorry for the triple post but... Update!

Alot of work has gotten done, the second lift support is pretty much finished and there is a significant amount of track up. That airtime hill looks like it will have some serious airtime and I like the minimal supports on that airtime hill, it looks like it is floating in mid air.

New pictures! A good bit of the lift structure is up! That lift looks pretty darn steep... Can't wait till spring 2012!

Obviously it's a very rough estimate, but if you overlay a triangle over the lift and use trig it comes out to be about 57 degrees. If it's got the usual speed of a cable lift that should be pretty intense.

I like this lift structure so much better than I305s. I like how it matches the lift supports, and is more simplistic. It will look like they just extended the supports in yellow. cant wait to see this beast topped off.
