Id rather have a traditional wooden coaster, like a GCI. I know a GG would be the perfect route but with the way Cedar Fair maintains....err, lack of maintenance for their woodies, I think the GCI would stand up to the test of time.

Rides like Thunderhead and Lightning Racer went 5+ years without a single board being replaced. They aren't nearly as forceful as a GG but they always satisfy and always deliver on the fun factor.

I would love to see a good GCI like Mountain Flyer in China in place of Mean Streak. That ride is the most painful piece of s*** in the whole park. A Texas Giant revamp would be much too expensive because that revamp on a ride smaller than Texas Giant costed in excess of $10 million. If they don't want a wooden coaster than I say go for a Wing-Rider. That technology has shown great results on Raptor and if applied to a new bigger, and better Wing-Rider at CP would work great. They could also do good with a hyper or flyer. Hell, CP has so many kinds of rides that would work great in the park.

I don't think we will see a whole lot of floorless coasters anymore just because the wing riders are starting to be built and they are in a way the same.

I don't think so. I see the floorless coasters still popping up despite the Wing Riders. I seem to think that these Wing Riders will be good for a few years but then get rough to the point that X was before it became X2. Not sure if B&M studied that ride or not but that's what I think will happen to these in a few years.

I think they are going to start to be rare though. Hydra was the last NEW floorless coaster until the new one in China is being built right now, but we already had a 6 year gap between new floorless coasters. I think B&M is going to build maybe 8-12 wing riders like they did with floorless until they come up with something new. We only saw a handful of Dive Machines, and we only have about half a dozen or so stand-ups, and about 10 or so Flyers (although I'm glad to see Flyers continuing to be built), so I can't see them building a ton of anything. Eventually they will come up with something new.

Yea, but wing riders are too damn short. Give me one that's at about raptor length and I'll be happy. Also, Why not tear down the Mean Streak and Put in a Intamin Prefab?

Why not put in an insane GCI? What could those guys do if you told them "Heres a plot, go crazy" Ill take a Thunderhead over Mean Streak all day. Its not a TGG for intensity or Intamin for intensity but the fun factors are through the roof and upkeep is darn near minimal.

Id love an Intamin but I doubt it. the relationship with Intamin at CP isnt the best right now.

How can you have an American Version of Mountain Flyer on a plot of land thats absolutely completely flat at sea level?

Please explain that to me. Not to mention, the area used by MF is prolly twice what CP could offer. But Ive heard it twice. Put in a mountain flyer ride at CP. Please show me where these huge mountains are, lol.

^Umm just make the mountains. Costs like $20,000 in RCT I'm sure CP has that kind of money. Duh.

Aj, thank you. How silly of my to just forget that you could just create it. I mean, yea. It would just be too easy.

Geology fail.

Lacustrine systems are above sea level, and I think the Great Lakes system is around 500-600ft depending on location. Also since they're carved all kinds of surprise buried channels and stuff could be around there. :D

Everyone hates me now yay!

Yeah, not too many companies besides Disney take the whole, "Lets just build a mountain" route for their rides.

I knew that (partially because I've looked it up for random reasons before) but to me, its the same difference. You aren't going to raise the ground there some hundreds of feet out of no where.

Plus I see the sea so rarely, I might as well call Lake Erie my sea level. Not technically of course, but this area because of being an old marsh area is exceptionally flat.

Dude, RCT is the most realistic theme park simulator, especially in terms of price and finance, as well as excitement and intensity ratings. Always base real life off of RCT.

That would look awkward. I still want a recreation of the Rye Airplane coaster with more going on between the spiral sections. One of the most beautiful coasters ever created. The lines are mesmerizing.

In the beginning of this video the man from Rocky Mountain Coasters, the company that did the Texas Giant revamp, says that they are doing a replacement project in 2013. Mean Streak revamp maybe?

That ride is theme park poison because every 14 year old across the land will say it's too rough.

Also do you really want GCI to make that? They'll shape all of the G's out of it.

If TGG makes it it'll be beaten to death in a years time. They may not be the most intense rides but I thoroughly enjoy their rides for fun factor. Airplane Coaster was more about the swooping turns than airtime. That and the staying within the structure due to Traver's innovative design to let them build off existing structure.

So yea, I understand what sacrifices would be made. It would be 100x more fun than Mean Streak and would last 100x longer too. Pretty sure it would fit in that plot as well.
