i thought since i have failed so many times building realistic(Category)
coasters that i would do better with an old woodie recreation because i would be able to focus on making it look perfect any suggestions for an old woodie that isnt extremely difficult im thinking of a ride between 1915-1950 out and back style.

Truthfully, you should master creative building first before entering a field as heavily critiqued as recreations. If you're trying to be creative, people can't really get on you for psuedorealistic elements, supports, etc. If you would still like to try to recreate something, go on RCDB and search for Philadelphia Toboggan Company (sp?). They have lots of old woodies that are really cool. Keep in mind, though, that if you recreate a ride, people will be on top of you for everything from cartextures to segments lengths.

Why can't you focus on making 'Category' coasters look perfect?

because i cant think of any designs so i want to create somthing that already exists so all i have to do is follow that design and make that perfect

Make a Cyclone layout.... then you don't have to be specific to a certain coaster's shaping.

That overhead view of Blue Streak is no where near accurate at all.

^other than not showing the bend in the layout during the first drop, I think that drawing might be helpful. I'm not too familiar with the ride, but it could have fooled me. I know the length has been cropped to show detail, but like I said... It's a start.

Well yeah, it's like they cut out the entire hill section and just show the station/brakes/prelift section and the one turn around.
