Last I heard the projected release is 2012.Thats not confirmed tho.

^Exactly. Especially a simulator with so much detail and him only programming the game itself ( the others do tests and cartextures but Ole made the simulator and editor himself). Give the guy some time! It will be well worth it. Its better to have an awesome game tomorrow than a half half game today. And give him some credit. He has mentioned several thimes that he is NOT enjoying his time. He has given up his life for us. So please... Be patient.

I know Ole is notorious for very rarely providing updates on a good basis, but is this project dead? We haven't heard anything for ~ 5 months!

Yeah many people are losing faith and patience. Not me. I still belive eventually the NL2 project will be alive again...

I have this feeling that Ole will release another christmas update on christmas, and if not that then april fools, he better do one on april fools!!!

"Quitting is not really an option because the project is too far already"

And the website says he is 85% done with the project.

NL2 is still very much alive.You should be lucky that NL gives progress reports,as this is not the case with SM2.IMO SM2 is dead.

I would even go so far as to say it's really hard to program something like that with any size team.

Looking forward for NL2 when it comes out soon. I think SM2 is dead. It's dead untill they'll be able to revive it again hopefully whenever. For now I sure can't wait to see what NL2 is like myself. Even I was more into SM than NL.

Began the project two years ago, 1 and a half years into the project he says he is 85 percent done, do the math and see when NL2 should be finished and in the final editing stages.

SM2 was rumored to be released in 2008 as Brian told many testing was under way. In 2007 someone on a forum asked him if SM2 would be released in the next 2 to 3 years.He replied know where that long.It seems things fell apart after he announced that SM2 would be free for all who bought SM 1 before a certain date.

And yes you will like NL2.Its leaps ahead of all other coaster types Sims.

Most of the hard stuff (coding and models) are pretty much complete. The rest is much less time consuming.

I think it will be out before Blagojevich finishes his jail time.

If there isnt an update before 2012 then NL2 is dead. and maybe so are we [sillyme].

1.8 was released not that long ago. NL2 is coming. Just when is the question.

I hope you guys know that he only updates every 7-8 months, if it's not updated before 2012 that doesn't mean it's dead. pfft
You guys seem to lose faith way too much, he's just trying to make it better overall, not lead us on if it was stopped so long ago.

Yea if he was going to stop working on it I think he would at least tell us...I'm sure he's more focused on working on it instead of updating us because that is that much more time that he is not working on it. Unless he says it's dead...it'll come.

Umm... I havent lost patience yet... Why would I? If he says he will update, he will... eventually. If he doesn't say its dead, its certainly not dead. He even mentioned that he won't be quitting. So please... Do us all a favor... And be patient! It will definitely be worth it...
