GreenBullet has been working on another Intamin Coaster, and here's a

The Full reveal Trailer here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTIPuTeNLDk&hd=1

The newest coaster, what Group 9-3-5 will let me tell you is a remake of a previous coaster from last year....The remake promises so much more, speed, layout, inversions, everything. Just about everything on the ride is custom made, Station, textures, and environment.

Updated:

Ascension: Cry of the Damned is a Intamin AG Launch Coaster with many inversions and high speed low turns. It also features GreenBullet's first attempt at two new elements...although I won't reveal which ones they are until after the ride makes a youtube premiere on 1-12-12. Although there will be no terraforming, it will feature a custom made ground texture nearly 4x the resolution of the NL default with shadows enabled. The new Environment that I made allows for darker lighting making it look slightly more realistic compared to the NL Default.

I hope you guys check out the trailer tonight and why not watch the older rides in the meantime? http://www.youtube.com/ragebull910 <- Yes, that username is a poor victim of name-suggest.

Final update: Video will be available at the following link on 1-12-12 12:00 AM -6:00 Central Time.

meh, I used the same style as the old one, I'd agree with the one color, but I'm not changing it's theme this late into it.

Would it really be that big of a deal? It would look better in one color...

Looks like a nice track!

But the other guys are right, Intamin always makes the track all one color.

Yes, it is meant to be for your imagination, but it's also meant to simulate realistic rides and ideas, so here it's probably best to listen to them and change the color of 2 whole rails.

Sorry, not going to happen. If it's such a huge deal, just download the track when I upload the .nlpack and change it.

There were times where B&M would not paint their rails. It's completely logical to say the rail colors could vary because it is possible in real life to make it that way. Any outside painting company could paint rails if hired to do so.

So if it's physically possible in real life, I see no issue in the Simulator...at all.

Honestly, do you make such a big deal to everyone who posts something this meaninglessly unrealistic?

thats B&M. Their tracks are easy to paint, and very geometric. Intamin box track is very complex..

It's not just that it's unrealistic. It looks awful.

But I see a combination of inversions that I think I'm going to liiiike... Looking forward.

On topic, I can say I finished the storage track area but it's not set up realistically....I'll get to that when NL2 releases because it requires changing the unload platform by cutting it in half. So I did make the Station in a way to incorporate a real transfer when NL2 releases. I made color corrections to it and replaced some materials seen in the trailer as well, signs and lettering are now in place as well as employee ramps, gates, safe zones, and panels. It has a remote panel, main panel, and enable panel with the safety zones all lined out. The queue house is complete and it's a pretty decent size....the 1st row queue is the most ridiculous in size. I also completed the air gates which is a huge game of guess-and-check when it comes to sketchup and they turned out to be the most perfect part of the whole model, they line up with the cars almost perfectly (0.01m accuracy)

Support work is finally completely done, the teaser showed some of the unfinished with just A-shapes. I also started work on the youtube video and I'll admit the song is a little long so the video may drag for a good 25-35 seconds.

I understand where you're coming from, but the only thing at this point is to just download it and change it. The reason the colors are the way they are is because the coaster is a part of a little series of mine where the coasters are based on the story of Nazi Zombies from Call of Duty. First came Project 1-15. which was hands-down my worst ride.....and that's when I attempted Newton????????? for the first time and made Ascension, which was also terrible and why I'm doing a remake with a slight name change. And then came Escalation which had a color scheme the exact opposite of Ascension. I am planning only one more in this series.

It's not really a huge deal. From what I can see, realism is not what you're going for in this ride anyway.

But even if you lightened the rail a little bit, so it's not so thickly black. I hope it's not pure black. Just doesn't look too good dude.

Aside from all that griping... the immelman-dive loop combo looks fun. I like how they're differently shaped.

I never use "pure" colors in No Limits....The lighting causes them to appear weird. White and Black are a big No-No. The black you see in the trailer is faded slightly, on the HSL it's not all the way down.

That's something I've been working on, I've been practicing with incorporating elements in Newton so that the track doesn't need to roll to zero degrees then back again for the next element, I wanted to smooth the transitions out. This coaster still has a weird hill before one of the rolls but by the time I decided I wanted to change it I already had the ride set-up in the NL editor so I just went along with it. It's still smooth as silk but when it comes to people who criticize, they're going to say "WTF"?

I think, in the least, no matter the colors or the transitions, big launched rides with hard work put towards scenery are usually fun in my book- in one way or some.

Updated 1-8-12: Glad to say I just finished reviewing the final video for the youtube channel, and it's definitely ready for release. The ride, however is not, there are a few more tweaks that I need to make that are bugging me.

And I'm sticking to the date I mentioned in the trailer, it won't be available on youtube PUBLICLY (hint, hint) until 1-12-12 and the .nlpack file will follow soon after....but be warned, it will be large and will make the editor lag, I suggest removing scenery before editing anything.

Be sure to like me on facebook to learn how to see Ascension: Cry of the Damned early. www.facebook.com/greenbulletproductions I will give some users early access to it, so be sure to look for a post there tomorrow!

^that's where the name comes from.

Ride Description:

Ascension is a Roller Coaster Featuring your favorite characters from Call of Duty Zombies: Edward Richtofen, Tank Dempsey, Nikolia Belenski, and Takeo....although I hate him so his voice almost never makes an appearance. The Cry of the Damned Version of the ride is a more compact layout with inversions, although NL does not have the intamin style train, a hyper-style is used instead. Ascension: Cry of the Damned starts with a 86 MPH launch straight up a tophat keeping to it's name; After Descending that it goes through two loose high-speed turns. That's where things get tricky and the massive inversions take place.

Don't let SAM Catch you!
