I have already started this coaster... just a note. I just wanted to be productive (i also REALLY wanted to build an accelerator (for no apparent reason)) So here it is.

Also, I will post pics of the work so far and the most recent work.

And the bottom of the drop. Ignore everything else in the picture as Ive deleted them due to out of control gs. And if you see a lot of lats in a picture, Its been fixed :).
Just use these links...

Also, Im thinking of completley redoing the tophat due to the shaping.

So check it out and let me know what you think!

Wasn't this one cancelled? And none of the pictures are working, maybe post a link to them?

Glad you're okay. Perhaps you could upload the pictures so we can see them?

Pics seem to be working now.
Hmmm... it's interesting. Far from conventional, I see. That's a nice way of saying it doesn't resemble Intamin at all, but that isn't always the most important thing.

I think the tophat looks simple but cool. What are forces looking like on all sections of the tophat?

I think that top hat needs to be completely redone. Not simply because it's "un-inatmin-like" (which, as it happens, it is), but because it's so unlike modern roller coaster shaping that it's painful. It's almost like you tried to bring back the old arrow/woodie shaping and made it go vertical instead of to 60 degrees or whatever.

^ That's what I meant. Im still trying to modify it perfectly... its harder than it seems.

And also, it gets about somewhere from 4.6-4.9 I think? Im redoing it anyway.

Well, even if you can't get it perfect (which you probably won't be able to do if you're handbuilding), I'd say a good place to start is to get rid of the straight segment in the middle. The radius of the track should constantly be changing, and it should be a smooth change, too. To get an idea of what it should sort of look like, I ask you a question: have you taken a chemistry class?

Is this what you were going for with the chemistry reference?

Cant read it... The (what seems to be) equivalent point is difficult. And no, I wasnt actually planning to showcase it like this. I was just messing around. Im almost done with it. New update probably sometime tommorrow. [;)]

The writing on it doesn't really matter, I was just asking boneplaya is thats where he was headed when he asked if you had taken a chemistry class. And the writing isn't important. What's being shown is how the curve transitions from one direction to the other without having a giant straight section in the middle.

Yeah, constant curvature is probably the more successful way to go. Straight-ons during a tophat is so 2001 S&S

Huh? I'm confused. You posted these pictures knowing it wasn't going to be finalized in that way? Then we all waste our time giving assisting pointers lol.

Yes perhaps I do. So are you going to do a straight tophat still, or add rotation to the slopes?

Sorry for the double post, but this project will be on hold until further notice (for the second time) due to a surprise project in store. This... new project will be unveiled soon... I apologize for any inconvenience and hope to restore this project ASAP. Thank You.
