Hey guys, it's past new year, and a new year means a new No Limits Tournament.

I've had the honor of (co-)hosting it for some years now, but as my study is progressing, my free time is getting only less.

So, there are two options now

1. We could run it without ratings. The players will rate (or score) each others tracks and that determines who continues.

2. This is the option I prefer, namely that one of you will (co-)judge. The only two things you need is free time to finish the ratings in time, and some experience in No Limits. You don't have to be a pro, but you need to know what you're talking about.

If you are interested in judging, you can let us know in this topic. In a week or two the staff will decide on a judge and then we can start the tournament.

And no, cool5, or whatever your name now is, you cannot be a judge.

lol @ cool5. I'd say go with rate each others rides, all anonymous. We simply get given an email by you (or whoever) with all the rides numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Then we rate each one like so:

coaster 1:
I liked it cause of blah blah and didnt like blah, T:8 A:6 O:7
overall score 7.

coaster 2:
etc etc.

Then everyone's tallied and that determines the winner.

I could potentially co-judge. All depends on when the tournament is likely to run.

i think the co judge would be best, just so we dont run into a mix up and end up having to re submit all our work..

I agree with the co judge idea, but I'm going to have time, to enter or even look at the entries, so yeah
What are these for?

Working with the RCT contest series, I have some judging experience. Also, I can have GavG vouch for me for my ability to judge efficiently as well as be punctual.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I would, but I think you'd want someone with more experience with like, everything involved.

You need more than 3 posts to even participate in a contest, right?

Just to remind all you guys:

- You need experience with NL. A lot of people will spend time building a good track and we simply need judges who are from a similar level to see what somebody has accomplished.

- You don't need time just right now, the tournament might take a while. If we go with 4 rounds, that it'll be 3 weeks building and 1 to 1.5 week judging, each round.

- At the moment, I'm a pleased with all the people who are volunteering, but if it happens that the judge(s) runs out of time somewhere during the tournament, we will find a solution to keep the tournament going.
We could let the judge(s) only post the scores so they work out the ratings later or boot the judges at revert to the 'players score the players' method, but that would be a last resort
