I was just wonderin, who makes their own elements and who just inserts them? I myself, make em, thats why my coasters are normally bumpy on inversions.

I've never used pre-fabs on anything serious. A couple of early coasters had them, but i was just trying out the program.

I try to make my own, but a lot of the time they don't really turn out the way I want them to. pre-fabs aren't really a bad thing, it's just what you put into it. I myself am pretty new to NL and don't have a lot of time to work with it as much as I want to. I have been getting used to all of the detail oriented parts of the game. I think it just takes some people longer than others to adjust to the editor.

I usually make 'm myself, but when they have some strange angle (meaning not coplanar with a viewport) I'd make a new prefab myself and insert that.

Yea, i just make my own, but i suck with corkscrews so i mite just insert them or just insert on a test and then try to make a duplicate from the insertion.

I make my own now.The hardest element to make for me is a corkscrew like INS4N3_thefirst said.

You should see my corkscrew [:D] smooth as heck [:D] but it took me a long time to make it good. But its not on any of my previous coasters.

I NEVER use prefabs. I only occasionally save them, but never use them. I don't think corks are that hard. I've been improving a lot as I build.

i didn't even know there were pre-made elements until i had been playing the game for 2 months and by then i could make my own.

ooooh[:)]well i think the easiest is the vertical loop. But my first inversion i figured to do is a barrel-roll, then a zero-g roll.

I will attempt to make my own elements, such as boomer's, dive loops, and inline twists. I cant make vertical loops tho cuz they come out lopsided and painful. If an element took too long to make and I got it right, I'll save that element for further use

I do both, if there's an element I can improve on, I'll do that, but if it's a good element, I'll keep it.
Someone once said if it's not broken, why fix it???

I make all of my own elements. Then, I save the good ones for re-use on other coasters. Even when I was a newb, I never used prefabs.

Well...I always use pre-fabbed loops/barrel rolls and corckscrews. But I'll always tweak them to make them less rough or to make them fit in well. I can't make a barrel roll worth a damn so why pain myself when I can just slap one on that I like anyway? Sometimes I'll make my own corkscrews though because the pre-fabbed corkscrews are kinda crappy.
