Since I have the "only good at Arrows syndrome" I thought I would start on a new one. I don't have a name or color scheme yet, but I thought it might be interesting to incorporate some Arrow elements along with some Vekoma elements.

Like the concept! Cant wait to see this unfold!

Also, haha that syndrome is getting quite contagious. 2 people already. What is next?! (jk)
It's been a long time

I thought it might be a cool idea, anyway. Any thoughts for a color scheme? If it helps, I want to theme this all the way through - flat rides, fences, walk ways, maybe another coaster, buildings, etc. This will also interact with a building or two.

Edit: My first rendition of the track is done. Needs to be smoothed due to pumps and bumps and stuff. Image

Doesn't even look like you're very good at designing an Arrow yet. The loop along with the transitions in and out of the MCBR don't look like they're very well made.

Well, this is also an attempt to combine two different design styles into one coaster. I'll probably go through 4 or 5 different loop shapes, MCBR variations, overall shaping of the track, etc. I'm simply trying to incorporate elements commonly found with both companies.

Not to be rude, but looking at your ratings I fail to see the "only good at arrows" part of only good at arrows syndrome.. On topic, those corkscrews look too small to be realistic, almost like a roll than a corkscrew
What are these for?

As far as the corkscrews go, I think it's just the angle of the picture. The speed and g forces are fairly accurate to Arrows. Oh, and if you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say anything at all. [;)]

I do believe I did say something constructive.

You, need to make the loop more clothoid-ish it looks to much like a Schwarkopf loop ie: to circular. The batwing looks like the best part if this combination, from where I stand it looks pretty darn good. Trust me on this I am the one who coined the term "only good at Arrows syndrome" If you revise the layout I would really like to see a butterfly loop in a revised version of this ride because it already looks heavily Goudurix inspired. Good luck your doing great so far!

The last corkscrews are a little low.

The last corks are not corks. It's actually a section of the Vekoma SLC.

On the topic of elements, I'm thinking about dropping the loop and putting in the roll over as seen on the SLC.

why don't you just make an SLC if your putting in SLC elements?

Because then it's strictly Vekoma elements and no fun.

So, here's a question. What exactly constitutes to passing the tunnel test? I have a section of track that is on the fringe, It's a technical pass, but I'm not sure.

Double post, blah blah blah.

On the fringe in what manner?

There's an inverted piece that passes over a non-inverted piece. With a tunnel on the non-inverted piece, Everything is fine, but when the train inverts, the rider's heads would go through the top of the tunnel.

Just as long as the track doesn't go through the tunnel, you're fine.

Ii believe its fine if you're in the same block, since then there would never be a situation where 2 trains would pass over the area at the same time

That sounds about right. It's just a really tight squeeze. I'll post a picture of it along with layout ver. 2

Edit: version 2

I would say looks ok considering the lack of room to move your arms on arrows. but I'm no expert

Well, if one train will pass under while the other goes over then we have a problem but otherwise it is okay. I strongly, strongly urge you to get rid of that serpents curve (sea serpent roll) in favor of a butterfly loop. That would be far more interesting. Or at least trade up for a Giant Bowtie...It would make your ride much more original.

That's a blatant tunnel test fail and will need fixing. Nothing should come into your tunnel (apart from another tunnel on the same block.
