A few friends and I formed a Progressive Rock band a little under a year ago, and we just released our EP Album online. Our band name is "Castles" and the album is called "Space and Similar Sounds"
We're on Facebook and Bandcamp!
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CastlesNJ
Bandcamp: http://www.CastlesNJ.bandcamp.com

I play drums in the band, and we mix Indie, Jazz, Rock, and more into our songs.
So please check our band out, and let us know what you think!

You're not a prog rock band, because you're not a Canadian trio named "Rush" YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG.

But seriously. Pretty cool stuff.

Wow, thank you guys so much for the great encouragement!
-Peart Fan, I'm playing a black Tama Superstar kit right now.
-Jayman, it's incredible hearing that, and I'm blown away, but I really have to strongly disagree.
I'm a "Prog-Head", though only for specific Progressive bands and Rush happens to fall under that banner. I will admit, most of their songs suck so much, but they have a very large handful of awesome songs.
-NightwindELF, you have no idea how hard I laughed at that! Hahahahahaha

The album art was actually colored by a friend recently, though his father drew it in 1980.

Again, thank you all so much for listening and giving feedback. It is very much appreciated!

Tamas are nice kits(i personally prefer DW, buy given the chance I would buy a Tama in a heartbeat). your music sounds really good, and doesn't see thrown together like most of the new bands I've heard lately.

Ludwig Classic Maples are the best drums being currently made. Find me a kick drum that sounds better than this from DW or even Cravitatto or Brady or something. Nothing touches the sound of this imo.

No Pearl? These sound pretty damn good to me, although I like much lower toms:

My 15ish year old cheapo 4pc Exports have served me well for my general messing around. I have EC2 SSTs over G1s on the toms and an HD dry over a Hazy 300 on the stock(!) snare and they sound pretty damn good for what they are. I wouldn't knock any particular brand as all drums sound different honestly. Even moreso for cymbals. Those who say "I only play Paiste" or "I hate Zildjian" are so dumb since every cymbal sounds different anyway. Go to the store and actually listen to them and buy what you like regardless of the logo stamped on it...whether that be a B8 or a $400 K Custom, or Pearl or Ludwig or DW.

That said, nothing is touching those Ludwig Classics lol.

Except maybe these amazing Radio Kings:
