The difference between prefabs and vipers supports are the thickness. The prefabs seem to be between 2 and 3 and I would say you need 3 or 4. Just my input.
Ohhhhhhhhh! That's pretty clever! What points on the track does the sound flow by? I always love coasters with trees and water on rides especially when you plummet down to the water and then you have a big ol Arrow jerk that sends you straight back up. Then you realize "I'm not going to die! God bless this Arrow."
That's the most natural-looking river ever. design some terrain that gets sandier or beachier around its area. If you don't know how to do this you just make a large teratexture(that should cover up the whole map) and tannify the area your river travels along.
I don't think he means in terms of rendering but rather that it is quite uneven and no where near perfectly straight like most water bodies are on N.L. If that what he means then I have to agree, thats pretty good!
ugh that was sarcasm...text just doesnt bring it out.
anyway you shouldve kept the river, but by naturalness you shouldve brought it into the terraformer and eroded it for a realistic feel. build the riverbed relatively low and the banks relatively high, then erode and it gives a nice creeky style. As I said you should probably create a teratexture that has a short expanse of tan. it provides a foundation for the river to be built and it naturizes the river even more.
if youve decided the layout then make a teratexture that has all cement around where the walkways are supposed to be, make any riverbed areas brown for that lakey feel and for landscaping go with a reddish-cedar type color. terraform them and add scenery and the terrain colors actually enhance the colors of the park. just a thought but might want to try it.
That's a terrible idea for several reasons: first because it'd be extremely difficult to get the texture to line up correctly and second because high-res textures don't work well in NL for some reason. See lucasbosch's coasters - his high-resolution textures on the ground make the framerates suffer big time. Also, making the sandy textures normally ends up screwing up the grass part of the terrain, so it's really a trade-off whether you want realism at the riverbed or realism everywhere else.
Nice, buddy however it looks like your Vek-Arrow and my Moonsault Scramble might end up competing for next weeks 1st place. May the best coaster win! ;)
Already have x-braces on the lift. Made sure that anything below 80 feet was supported by angled inversion supports or straight supports. MCBR seems a little bit early based on everything that happens after it, but the idea is that it was designed around a pre-existing park. I'll form a "press kit" for the "park" after I do my finishing touches.
