(Reuters) - A student gunman opened fire with a handgun in the cafeteria of a high school near Cleveland on Monday morning, fatally wounding one boy and injuring three other boys and one girl before he was chased from the building by a teacher and was caught, police said.

The injured students were rushed to area hospitals where a boy identified as Daniel Parmertor, 16, died at MetroHealth System in Cleveland. Parmertor, a high school junior, went to a nearby vocational school where he studied computer science, and was waiting in the cafeteria for a bus when the gunman opened fire.

Yeah, I heard about this on the news today. What's going on with today's youth?

i was "bullied" as a kid , i had a gun . this never once crossed my mind. but on the rare occasions when i see people i went to middle school with and their fat and got the first girl they ever slept with pregnant and all they really have going on in their lives now is monday night football and a pick up truck that they put way too much money into to compensate for hair loss and crotchular dissapointment , i feel like i made the right choice.

Two have died now, and a third is in critical condition at Cleveland's Metro Health Medical Center.

You're so hopeless.

Anyways like Jay said, people need to stop doing stupid poop like this and go more along with the "watch everyone get fat and useless around you" strategy.

Is this another one of those "I bought the gun online" cases?

Kids these days are so evil. A kid can't go to school today without getting called fat, retarded, fag, ect. We're going there to get an education, not to get ridiculed the entire 12 years we're in school. Makes me sick to think this is the only option kids can think of to solve their problems. Most kids that get bullied don't report the problem, or the schools just don't give two donkey asses.

I have been a victim of bullying in the past, more verbal and outcasted than physical. It's mostly because I'm typically quiet and a good kid- never broke any rules. You know the good church mouse stereotype? Yeah that fits me pretty much entirely haha. So I know how it feels to be on the receiving side of it.

Never once did I feel like blowing that cocksucker's head off.

I think the parents are partly to blame, I mean they raised him. No blame should go to any inanimate object (such as a gun) or any organization that restricts said inanimate object usage, since, if buying and owning guns was made illegal, the only ones to have them would be the kind of people who buy them (illegally) off of the black market = taking guns away makes the world safer :P...

So yeah. love up world but you've gotta live in it.

I want to add something to the end of that.
The schools just don't give two donkey asses UNTIL bad things like this happen at their school.

^^^^^^ Same, there was one guy who used to tease me some times but I never thought about that. At most I thought of finding a way to humiliate him, but decided not to because that would make me as low down as he is.

agreed guns should only be in the hands of police officers and those in the military. i hate guns but i love airsoft guns but those should still be used responsibly and treated as if they were real.

"If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns."

I live in Texas where it's probably most typical to own firearms and it STILL isn't that common around here. I, on the other hand, coming from a father from Kansas and a mother from Nebraska, have 10-15 pistols, rifles, and shotguns in a safe in my garage. I'm the only one in the house (or the world, for that matter) who knows the combination to open that safe. I'm also the only one in the house who knows how to maintain, load, and use those guns. I'm 16 years old, and I've been a victim of physical bullying before (with scars on my forehead to prove it), and I've never ONCE even considered bringing any sort of weapon to school.

It's just a matter of sense and sanity. The 2nd Amendment is a good one, and while it isn't really necessary now, it may be in the future. We can't simply get rid of guns altogether anymore because there are so many of them. Perhaps we may need to put metal detectors everywhere if our society keeps moving in the violent direction it's headed now... who knows?

Many schools already have metal detectors. Especially in areas where gun violence is common.

I don't think outlawing guns is the right answer. One in states such as texas, montana, and even pennsylvania, hunting is a part of life. especially if you do it responsibly and the animal you kill. And also I think outlawing guns will cause the same things to happen that happened during prohibition.
What are these for?

By outlawing firearms, you remove any regulations for responsible use. Now skip ahead a few generations, nobody knows anything about being responsible with firearms and that movie "Idiocracy" slowly becomes a documentary.

There's too many idiotic sons of bitches to fix anything now. We're basically all doomed, and I have come to terms with it.

^^Nightwind: Bravo! Bravo! When I was in school we would just beat each other up, with our fists.

Outlaw guns? You may as well declare Marshall Law and live like the North Koreans.
