I got to the MCBR then my dissertation decided that it was due tomorrow so I kinda stopped for a bit

I don't really wanna finish, i got other plans for a different ride and i doubt my ride will make the cut considering who's competing in this contest.

Dont feel discouraged, i just spent 4 days on my lift hill and its still not done.

Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the thread, but it wasn't in the first post. In regards to submitting, I remember in previous years the tracks were given to judges anonymously and therefore tracks were not allowed to be posted on the exchange until the judges completed rating the tracks. Does this remain in effect or are we free to post once the deadline passes?

For the moment it is not allowed to share (anything related to) your track before the judges are finished scored.

But I am seriously going to re-think it, because it really ruins all the fun and I'm sure we can trust the judges being un-biased towards somebody (positive or negative). Besides, it has been great to see the progress and creative solutions of people during the round.

But for now, please wait until the judges are finished scoring.

I don't really think knowing who made the track will be an issue anymore. It's really obvious in the editor if someone ruined the track or not. I was only really surprised once last year (newton ruined someone) and in addition since hyyyper and I tend to rate as polar opposites on "creativity" it should balance out.

Will all the stuff making sure that the track and supports are inside the boundary be done in the editor or the sim, because there's a bit of an issue with footers being larger in the sim than they appear in the editor.

In the editor. It would be next to impossible to check such things in the sim.

So guys, one week left. How's everybody doing so far?

really good, track and supports pretty much done, few minor tweaks for added realism. Had a stupid issue where the train crawled out of the final skid at like 1mph until it collided with the other train in the station :S wtf. Only did this on the third run too. But sorted now lol. Considering some basic 3d work, not that it will make any difference, so probably wont.

Mine is finished, just want to triple check all the rules just to be sure.

Haven't been able to touch it for a while, bad-average trackwork and gonna have to throw some serious support work together over the next couple of days :/

looks like for the first time ever i will not be involved at all due to time comitments.

I got about a 3-4 days left to finish, but not time eekk :S. Unfortunately not that great of a coaster. I hear you on the screen shots...

Half done with the supports, another couple of days and it'll be on to the finer details.
