Not sure if any of you knew about this. But yep. They're finally taking out disaster transport and building a wing rider. Its supposed to be the biggest wing rider yet apparently. I'm sure there is already a topic about this somewhere, but i haven't been on this site in a good 8 or so months and i'm too lazy to look.

They have not confirmed this yet; remember that this is just leaked info. Although they will be getting a coaster for sure.

Yeah, but have they formally announced it yet, stats, broken records (if any) and all?

I just don't really like it when people say "OMG ITS CONFIRMED ASDFASDF" when it's just leaked info, subject to change.

Could "Banshee" be the name of this new coaster? At least it doesn't start with the letter M, if you know what I mean (this was also the original name for the Mantis coaster). Anyway...

Posted on the Cedar Point blog seemed to be some kind of "code" which appeared as:

@!!$!(*%%

In turn, a comment was made on that blog post:

Ok, I believe this is a keyboard code! @ = the number 2 on the keyboard. If you go 2 letters into the alphabet that would make @ stand for the letter "B" so.... @ = 2 which = "B", ! = 1 which = "A", !$ = 14 which = "N", !( = 19 which = "S" , * = 8 which = "H", % = 5 which = "E" and % =5 which = "E" This "code" spells out the name BANSHEE. Hmm...this name was going to be given to Mantis when it first opened but was not used due to people complaining about it being offensive. Is the name making a reappearance? I think so! :)

Is this valid? Anyone got any feedback?

Today, another "code" was given in the latest blog post:

You didn't think we would give away 2013 that easy did you? Watch out for inversions and (!%!@@!#%(!@!!^

"(!%!@@!#%(!@!!^" Anyone know what that would say?

I was actually just at Cedar Point in the past few days. I had already heard about this and I do think that this will be a great addition to the park since it really feels like something is missing from that area. Had a great time btw, one day we purchased Fast Lane passes and I estimated that at some times there was a 10-1 ride ratio on MF (to the regular line) which was awesome. Also, everyone needs to ride Windseeker at night, it's incredible!!!

I just spend half an hour test all possible combinations. Turns out you have to do it backwards, and then it says. FALSE CLUES. So "Watch out for inversions and false clues".

"False Clues"? Hmmm.... Do you guys think those eyes (that closely resemble the eyes on the Steel Force logo) are false clues?

Beats me.
Doubt they would change their minds about Banshee and its possible ***ist comments though.

Disaster Transport could have been the most classic ride in the world, but that still didn't make it anything close to fun to me, haha. Glad to see it go, to be honest. It's for a wing rider that hasn't been confirmed and we have no layout for, anyway.

Don't know how you could say that if you've been to Cedar Point in the past few years. Both rides were in a state of disrepair. Space Spiral is barely open anymore and the cabin has been in need of repaired a/c and new windows for years. Disaster transport is a shadow of what it once was. Now it's basically a tame tube slide with seats and damaged theming. Not to mention the crappy building it's housed in is an eyesore. I'm glad to see them go.

I rode both Disaster transport and Space spiral today. I now understand why they are both being replaced.
This is not my signature.
