I sure can't wait myself untill it comes out soon. I predict it's going to be quite a big file to download. My feeling it's going to be somewhere between 500mb to 1gb but I could wrong though. It's going to be quite a simulation the way everything looks so far.

That's actually nothing... RCT2 and its expansion packs are around 600 MB total. This will probably be a lot larger with at least 1-2 GB of data.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

LOL, 500 MB - 1 GB being "big"...

I do hope for not partial, but complete separation of add-on files and game core files. That means every single thing you can tinker in the game is done with external files. I'm pretty sure this is planned though, and hopefully will be done properly to the point where the user can select their own directory for storing projects. (i.e., a Dropbox folder.) Separating the projects from the core game files will also prevent having to run any NL applications with administrator access. (I remember NL on Vista without UAC disabled or without admin privileges would pretend to save files when actually doing nothing, causing potential loss of work if the user is unaware of the problem.)

Current NoLimits base game is around 80-90 MB. With modern smart use of texture compression and what not, I can't see NL2 going over several hundred MB, but more space required means more resources included, given we know that the NL team is pretty smart about data compression. (i.e. More space required by NL2 means more stuff to work with and/or better textures/gfx.) I remember some slightly older days when Hyper Rails was 200 MB with its uncompressed textures, and NoLimits was 10 MB.

You people need to take a chill pill on something. Has anyone seen the WYSIWYG editor? I didn't think so.What editor have you seen in those screens? Thats what I thought.

Yeah, is it a little sad that I'm waiting until we get a release date to get a new laptop? Like NL2 is the reason I'll be having a new laptop. My current one is like 3/4 years old now and starting to give me various issues that I can't really be bothered with anymore. But I made the decision to wait until NL2 was on its way, to get a new one.

I just can't wait for NL2 so I can combine Hand-building with track shaped by adjusting forces like Newton. I suck at Hand-building so it would be nice to create layouts I really want without being restricted by Newton.

Deciding to make my NL2 features up-to-date since I'm bored.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Editor built into Simulator sharing the same display.

-Project based folder Architecture "each track is stored in a separated folder with all the resource-files required by the track (custom cartextures, scene-objects etc.) located inside."

-New terrain engine, multi-texture layers, new water-reflection/refraction, and auto-plants

-Dolphins and Bass in the water as fish (marine mammal). Know that I think about it, this could've been phyter being an ass with photoshop.

-No more skybox the background will be 3d (might change)

-Advanced Scene-Object features, ability to have multiple LODs, the support of LWO (LightWave) mesh-files.

Dynamic day-night cycle...

-Dynamic sky engine, high quality dynamic shadows, ability to change weather.

-New concept for handbuilding/smoothing (not said), option to build a coaster specifying the heart-line spline directly instead of the center of track.

-Tunnels through terrain feature.

-Built-in walkmode, built-in Force Vector Design Tool! Built-in formula based program.

-Switch and storage tracks that are highly customizable. Switches for dual stations, normal switches for storage tracks and transfer tracks. Different kind of modes for the switches, e.g. shifting or rotating switches.

-New wind energy ?????????stations?????????. (you can have 3ds in the background of your environment)

-Dive Machines and new rails.

-Real-time g-force comb and a speed (acceleration) comb while in editor mode.

-Occlusion culling fps optimization system.

-Manual block mode.

-New beam nodes, and realistic flanges /connectors.

-Twisted Flying coaster

-Multidimensional Coaster

^no no no. What he means is you can now include 3D models into the back ground of your environments. He used wind turnbines (he called them stations for some reason) as an example in this screen: Image
