I thought you were "a perfectionist" who was "doing everything" to make your Boss recreation "as close to the real thing as possible"?
Just doing the basic trackwork so I have something to do after the Boss project.

No. Finish Boss, and make it good. THEN start your next project. If you start a second project in the middle of another project, you'll end up with 2 poopty projects instead of 1 decent one.
Okay, what do I need to do to finish Boss?

Make it smoother, do custom supports, and make it a billion times closer to the real thing. The current one isn't even close by a longshot.
