How do I keep getting stuck at the end of the group?

Dangnabit, I completely forgot that I had to pick a coaster... I filed that away in my mind's "to do" list and then forgot about it.

You were last in the first group in the second round. So then you are placed 3rd and moved to the back of the list. But because there was a group of one just in front of the last group you were in, the groups are rearranged so that only the last group is not four people big.

Yes. His picks were Tatsu and Nemesis. Air was his backup to Tatsu, and Phantom's Revenge I'm assuming, was his backup for Nemesis, so jdmi I think you have to pick again, unless you make Afterburn you first pick then gforce needs another pick.

Let's summarize. Yoshifreak has the highest priority, and he hasn't picked yet.

jdmi wants Nemesis but that one is already taken, so at this moment he only has one valid pick: Afterburn at Carowinds.

gforce has is next and since jdmi has Afterburn, he will receive Demon at Tivoli.

But if yoshifreak picks either Afterburn or Demon, one of them is going to have a problem. They have until yoshifreak's pick (or the deadline) to fix their back-ups. If one of doesn't receive a coaster, I will not count it as MISSED, but as INVALID, since they did not miss their turn out of negligence, they were both perfectly on time.

Jonny has 4 picks in total, none of which have yet been picked. That's 100% correct.
