Oh man I'm so going to lose. 8cars plus custom scenery. Here we go!

EDIT: Wait, is our grid really that small? Are we building like one ride in the wilderness or something?

So, just to be sure, we can use the entire left quarter of the park, right? We're not just building like one tiny little flat ride within that little red box?

Yes, that red square was to simply mark which section of the park you will build on.

can we build a path from the entrance to the area we're building on? Or will no guests be allowed in for this round?

Also, I'm assuming there's not "you have to end at 'Year X'". It's just the date deadline.

Good then. I won't feel rushed!

Not competing anymore, but just curious...What is this 8car thing? I've never seen it or heard of it anywhere before.

No path is necessary. Just focus on the section assigned.

I am unfamiliar with 8cars, but it should be noted that all of the .DAT files should be moved to the ObjData folder in your RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 directory.

So we're only building in the left area of land, with the boundary being the river...but can I please demolish that fugly wooden coaster??

In the template download, it states where to save the park's .DAT files. You can only build in the section marked with the red square.

Do no touch that coaster.

You actually can just put the park file on your desktop, open RCT2, and load the file straight from the desktop. Save the gave afterwards, and it should automatically save it in the saved games folder.

Another question: is the first phase supposed to be "guest-less"? We can't build a path to connect the guests to our park - it's out of the build zone.

Also can we post screens of our progress? [:)]

Xtreme, yes, including the river (even damming it!) But keep in mind if you use a dam, that a reservoir builds up behind it. You can "move" the river, but it must still be there no matter what.

AJ, don't worry about guests the first two phases. I actually meant to keep the park closed. Just worry about the park itself.

Can we post screens though? lol I'm excited to show my first RCT work with custom scenery. And my coaster(s) that I made.

Simply just avoid anything touching the water or the marhsy land surrounding it.

Oh, and we can terraform the river but not build on it and/or over it? CK was right, your rules are kinda hard to follow lol.

You can build over the river... Just don't have supports in the river... You know, like in real life...

Oh okay. I guess we can't build in the other lands though so there would be mostly nothing to build correctly "over" it for. Unless you did half of a coaster and finished the other half in round 2.

And, can, we, post, screenshots.

Coasterkidmwm knows exactly what's in store with that coaster.

No screenshots... or anything regarding your park...

Also, no offense, but when I read the description of the template, I was expecting something remotely similar to Evergreen Gardens or Geoffrey Gardens in RCT1...not a flat, weedy landscape. There ought to have been at least something there.

I shall change this landscape.
