Whoa, I never expected that ride to be finished that early. Especially when they said it would open in 2013.

Looks kinda good, although the pacing on an Intamin Megalite is still somewhat better. Not bad though.

I would agree that the Megalites pace better. Also, it's interesting that they decided to give the ride its only inversion at the very end...that barrel seems very out of place. Oh well, Mack's restraints are probably best in the industry right now (I wish Maverick had them).

I'm sure this will be a very fun ride, but Megalites still look more intense.
I like the Roll at the end though it looks a bit awkward.

Haha...the track is identical to Intamin. I wonder if they patent those track shapes. Apparently not?

This ride looks super slow to me. It seems to me that the hills might not even reach zero g's.

I'm not sure you'd be able to patent something so competition destroying. And if you could I imagine it would be quite easy to find a loophole within the patent to avoid it. Don't like the barrel roll at the end though.

Arrow, Vekoma, and Morgan all have pretty similar track shapes
What are these for?

If you change something like different gauges, rail to spin height, different lateral supports, etc it's a different track still.

And Intamin used B&M-style track before.

You know, we should rename this thread "Track Spines".

But the original post was about the similarity of the layouts more than the construction of the track spine (despite their remarkable similarity).

Looks like a slower version with a barrel roll

The roll didn't ride that bad, actually. It looks a lot more fun than a properly heart-lined roll, but i'm one to talk since the only coaster i've been on with heart-line rolls was colossus
