Okay, so read this little bit before you guys start picking your rides again.

Bottom Feeder has asked if there was a reason why I couldn't extend the draft to 10 or 12 rounds. And he has a point. Three reasons why the draft was limited to 8 rounds:
1. The large number of players would take away all the good coasters and leave nothing but crappy coasters in the end.
2. The many rounds would make the draft last aaaages.
3. The small amount of rounds would require players to really consider what they want in their park, since there are only 8 slots.

Now that we only have 16 players left, and the 4-at-a-time system has this draft flying on hyperdrive, the first two reasons have become invalid.

That's why I want to ask you if you think we should extend the draft or not.

So, if you make your pick this round, please include your opinion. Should we extend the draft? If Yes, why and how many rounds should be added? If No, why do you want to keep it this way?

It is not required to post your opinion, but it would really help me make a decision.

I also vote yes to expand the draft by two rounds. There's a lot of great coasters left, and I think it helps to provide more balance to people's parks. It also makes it a little more forgiving to people who may have missed a round or two.

I'll weigh in now since I'm here...I'm not opposed to extending it by a round or two, but no more than that just because certain people (like myself) have probably set a certain strategy and for me it was based on only having 8 rounds. I might have played it a little differently had we originally set it for ten rounds, but if everyone else wants two more rounds I'd be for it as well.

After much deliberation, I have decided to select "Thunderbird" @ PowerPark. http://www.rcdb.com/2955.htm


And I definitely vote to extend the draft to 10 rounds. This draft has gone by way too fast, and there are still a ton of great coasters left. Plus since I've missed two rounds due to underestimating how fast it was going to go, I would really like to have a chance to get more than 6 coasters in my park.

I really had to think for this one!

I think the challenge dissipates with more rounds. But if the majority of people say more rounds, then it really doesn't matter what I have to say, now does it?

Also, I dont think we need to extend the draft any longer. We went in with 8 rounds of picks and I dont think its fair to change that if some people dont use all there picks for whatever reason.
