If I finish this, it may end up being my most themed ride to date.
I have kinda slowly been working on this side by side with a bunch of other things.
Inspired by the Portal games from Valve (as it is now, seems based more on Portal 2), this one of a kind indoor fantasy coaster seemingly teleports riders to other parts of the test chamber. For now, I think I will focus on the custom scenery and then build the track, or I might build them side by side.

The cartexture bears the Aperture Laboratories logo.

The track goes through that blue Portal and teleports out of that orange portal to the lift. I did not realize I forgot to change the 3DS track to X Car style [sillyme]

This looks like the prelift, doesn't it? I still need to build an entrance to the test chamber, and that's where the station will be.

I can't help but wonder if this might be too ambitious for someone who doesn't like making too much scenery. At the same time, I am a fan of the Portal series and this would be a way to unleash my imagination. Maybe if I just theme the coaster to the test chambers instead of the huge, expansive looking parts in between, I might actually manage. I don't think I'm as good at making custom scenery as other people on this site.

Coincidentally, I've been working on a Wheatley model. If I ever get the time to finish it, I'll send you a PM, maybe.

Anyway, looks good so far. Definitely an original concept, although maybe you could slip a couple 3ds X-Cars on the lift. Not perfect, but something to enhance the portal effect a bit.

I don't think I wanna do that.
I am thinking of using the orange gel, and maybe have airtime hills with blue gel or aerial faith plates underneath the valleys.

I should probably get the "Part Where He Kills You" part of the ride out of the way first since I'm kinda dreading making it the most.
I'm on my second playthrough of Portal 2 and I'm not quite there yet, but when I get there, I can get some inspiration for 3DS. Taking screenshots for reference is a good idea.

Good luck with that... pretty tough to recreate, especially if you happen to be using Object Creator.

I am using Object Creator. Certainly doesn't look impossible, maybe tedious. I think the hardest part of that would be the large room itself rather than the spike plates closing in.
If needed, does anyone feel like collabing? Credit will be given.

One thing I do want to see though:

Shouldn't be too hard. Maybe in the finale/MCBR, there'll be cake at the end of a long straightaway, and then dive into a hidden valley, in classic S:tR style. And/or include rhubarb. On fire.
