After such a long time without posting and a long time without creating tracks, I have started working on a B&M hyper that I have wanted to build for a while. I have visualized the layout and have the Lift hill and first camelback completed. And Now, I give you...

I like the name. If your going for realistic shaping then you need to work on the drop and the first hill. The transition on the drop is too long, probably because you used curved geometry with a big lead out. The hill needs to have quicker positive to negative transition. If you want me to explain more PM me.

By 'transition on the drop,' he means the pull-up transition.

Not necessarily. But I know what you mean. It just can't have such a sharp crest. It looks too much like an ejector hill and it needs to have a more clothoid profile, shaped for airtime that remains closer to ejector air. Many B&M hypers, especially lately, are seen with pretty long cresting and pulling-up transitions.

Yeah your right about there being a lot more to a B&M Hill than the sharp crest. Judging from the pictures in newton I noticed that there seems to be two transitions from the valley to the hill. Like he reduced the positive gs a bit, then made the transition from positive to negative. That's what made it look like such a long transition. The transition from the positive to negative needs to be one fluid time zone. So if he did that it would probably make the transition look better.

Good pictures to base your shaping on.

Ok Im gonna redo it. one question though. The transition to the lift hill, how big should i make the radius?

EDIT: Also how steep is the lift of the average b&m hyper? Im guessing 35 to 40 degrees but I put it to 35

So I re did the lift hill and I think I did not a bad job.

It looks pretty comparable to THIS:

But When I look at the top of the lift hill, I noticed THIS:

(^You can see it better in this picture)

Something wrong with the lead in/out? How can I get rid of this?

What's the radius of the lift crest? Also, export the crest as smaller segments to keep the shape you created in Newton.

The force transition needs to be more linear. Lower the tension in timewarping screen you posted until you get the right shape. Also make sure the curved segment before has no lead out. That should do it.

Instead of trying to run right into a force based zone right after the lift crest, put in another curved piece that leads into the drop a little bit. Also, for a radius of 14, I would go for a lead in of something between 5-10. That should help your crest take shape a little better.

OK I adjusted the tension and got this. What are your thoughts? Ill post pics in the editor later.

Try adding a small curved section before you go to the force based zones. If your lift ends at -15 degrees, add one more curved piece that's about 5 degrees. That will help stabilize the shape at the top, and velocity being a little more correct.

^I tried that and it sorta worked but now my station has to be 17 meters high so that it doesnt go through the ground.
