Oh by the way guys there's a new tool that's, like, better than Newton that was put out on NoLimits-Exchange. Since CC is disconnected from the noobtastically, sh*tty-meme-dense world of NoLimits-Exchange that occasionally has slices of good things that happen, I figured I had to bring the news here that somebody created a thing that isn't pure sh*t.

Here's the download directory for both Windows and Mac.
Visit the YouTube page for tutorials

Fun fact that turns your world upside down: the roll graph is now based on degrees per second.

Have fun.

Is there a tutorial anywhere? I downloaded it and I don't know how to do anything at all.

As of right now, no. I'd just read some of the comments (sift through the bad ones) for advice on how to begin.

One thing that helps: think of what you're constructing (roll-wise) as you constructing the graph for the 1st Derivative in Newton. Because that's what you're doing in this program. This also applies to pitch, roll, and yaw on "geometric" sections.

However, the vertical/lateral graphs are still literal functions. So keep those in a separate mindset.

Here is a little Vekoma-ish looper I've been working on to figure out FVD++. It's come together really well so far and the shaping and flow is very good.

Notice how, for instance, the loop has curves in and out, and the transistions are perfect - continuous postive g's, no flat spots or awkward transistions. And this was REALLY easy. Took me like 10 minutes to build that loop and the curves on either side.

LOL problem is vekoma probably didn't use force vector design on a lot of their rides lol. Atleast their older ones.

Wow ok I just managed to make a perfect barrel roll with smooth transitions in and out with forces only..

Not the fastest way to build, but by far the most accurate and technical!

Make it a chiller zero g roll instead and its amazing. Right now while smooth it looks really dumb.

I'm loving this tool. I feel like it is a ton smoother than newton, and it runs very similar to it. I'll post pics late tonight on what I've come up with.

Happy 100th post to me!

^^Haha its not meant to look nice i was just messing around.

I also love that the geometric sections are seamless with the force sections! And now realistic corkscrews are possible. Aghh so much to experiment with!

Someone should definitely write tutorials on this because it's got me lost in the abyss....Especially with Geometric sections.

^ Lenny released a Mac version earlier today, check the second or third page of the thread on NLE.

Well that difficult because there are so many questions from basics and more advanced with geometric sections.

One feature that's missing that bothers me is that there's no "snap" for adjusting the time for Roll, pitch, and Yaw at the same time. So if I change the roll transition by so and so time then I have to manually change the others.

It seems intuitive enough for someone that's familiar with Newton. Just needs a conversion panel for speeds and length, and we'll be all set.

This program creates such a legit B&M turning drop- the entrance has always been so hard for me to perfect.
