Um, ya. I made this track in maybe 2 hours. fairly smooth, but a little more work may be needed. I'm just playing around, I don't know if I'll finish this one.

Dimensions:
W 100ft
L 200ft
H 90ft

looks neat, really like that drop, I'm sure it provides a nice hang time moment
What are these for?

I think you're one of few builders with whom I wouldn't be concerned about a 2-hour build. It looks pretty good.

I don't think you need to be so crazy on the type of track. A lot of places could do without four rails.

EDIT: One last little update for the night. another hour or so of planning plus building.

HOUR COUNT: 3

I've decided that my ultimate goal for this ride is to make a ride similar to invasion: a non-tooled ride that is just a track file, but is still decently cool. Let's hope that I finish this one

I love the tunnel through the station, try to get some colors in their though, at the moment it all just sort of mushes together.

Damn you work quickly. That station work would have taken me several days of procrastinating and porn to finish.

Looking cool! I like what you've done with the tunnel, so the track is in shade, even though you're only using an nltrack file, nice work.

At this rate, you'll be done in a few hours... looking forward to it [;)]

In this session of building, I:
- changed the track color to have a bit more grey
- Did about an hour of smoothing
- Added first supports

With four rails, you don't need your supports that close together.

another hour down, I think we're now at hour count: 9

I did some supporting. some of it is sketchy

Image

I'm a little worried about this one right here. The support goes through the tunnel but from observation it looks like the beam is just out of reach. thoughts?

All track above the height of the station should be a red/rust dingy color and fade it too the current brown.

Just a suggestion to make it pop a bit more.

That's an interesting suggestion Onjin, I'll play around with that at the end of building.

Hour Count: 10

I have done so much supporting. I do not think I'll be doing the support connector nodes on this ride, I don't want to get bored and drop the project. During my supporting, I have had a lot of close calls, but everything is safe. with every addition, I triple check the tunnel test, as I did with Invasion. I'll show the closest call first

Image
Image

It should be safe, the beam appears to be under the track and out of reach. and now I will show you the full progress. it is a maniacal cluster of supports

I am having fun with this right now, and I hope I keep the interest. as always, thoughts and comments are always appreciated.

Hour Count: 11

I have finished supports and have started work on other theming aspects. I don't think I will show you them in this topic, they will be displayed in the finished version. here are some pics

I think the supports are too dark + too thick in places.

I will probably release this Sunday. I am almost finished now at Hour 13. I will probably be finished at Hour 14.

I just want to say that no one should expect The Best Ride Ever. It was a 14-15 hour project, so there are problems. I just wanted to use No Limits in the way that it was intended for the general public: Creatively. I feel that people have lost the passion to build because everyone now bases all of their opinions on another persons ride strictly on the "realistic" aspect. This has ruined most of the community in my opinion. I am not saying that realistic rides are bad, I am saying that people shouldn't be so expecting of simple ideas.

So, I will release this ride. I don't think that it is my best ride, but I had a lot of fun making it, and that means more to me than rates. If anyone feels that they would like to rate it, then by all means, please do. I love it when people rate, hearing what people think is a nice after effect of a project in No Limits.

Overall, I will post this ride in the hopes that people will enjoy it. I was surprised by the amount of positive feedback on my last ride. I had a lot of fun making it, and I am really happy that so many people enjoyed it.
I hope that this message and this ride will spark more creativity from the lurkers and active users of the site. If the community converted to what it was when I first joined, then I feel that people would have more fun with making any rides.

Thanks for reading. I may have one more photo update tomorrow, but don't count on it. have a great day! :)

As a side comment, the idea is not to make realistic rides that have "simple ideas." It is to apply a specific company's design style and specifications to design a creative, unique, and worthwhile experience.

This ride looks nice. Theme is cool. I like the compact nature of it. I've got a soft spot for twisty Intamin inverters.

So, I finished the ride. In total, it was about 16 hours of work.

I would like some opinions please:

Trees or no trees? personally, I like the trees

I tried out the track coloring that Onjin suggested.

The coloring is probably not as dramatic as suggested, but what do you guys think? I don't know what to think of it.

The color thing is a really nice touch, and the whole trees and theming looks really good.
