Layout is done! Although, I hate the ending (I basically said, "Screw shaping and heartline, I'm just gonna make a smooth inversion and turn it toward the station), I'm just gonna move on. So yeah, almost on schedule!

I'm pretty sure almost everyone fudged the ending bit. Hell, I did and I made the template. There's just no room after 4 inversions and a MCBR.

Also, my ride can run three trains, but realistically no ride this small would run three trains, in order to avoid the train stopping on the lift I put the dispatch time to fifteen seconds, which would never happen on a stand-up. Am I gonna get docked points for my unrealistic dispatch time?

No. You probably need some obscene dispatch time with 3 trains and only one MCBR. Most coasters don't run 3 trains unless they need to keep up with long lines. That is, if they run 3 trains at all.

I should start supporting mine soon. Right now it's at the "track complete but sitting on the hard drive" stage.

Same here. Supporting is my least favorite thing to do so I need to just gather whatever energy I can and just do it. I wonder if anyone actually went with a dive machine.

i thought it was a standup contest

It is, but there was talk of a vertical drop/dive machine. I tried it, but the forces in the back get too high going over the initial drop.

^Yeah, I tried, but with an 8 car train it's forces get a wee bit intense in the back.

I thought of making a stand-up dive machine one time, themed to actually going off a 200+ foot tall diving board. But not for this, um, game. It was un-creatively named High Dive.

Another question, How will you determine if it is "in bounds". In the editor or sim?

In the editor. Seems to be the easiest way to check that.

When do we need our tracks uploaded? The deadline is the 25th, but at what time? The reason I ask is because I'm going camping tomorrow and I won't get back until monday at around noon. So do I need to post it before I leave tonight? Or can I wait until I get back?

Oh god I've done like the lift and it's a nightmare. And I still have to do the rest.

You will have all day on the 25th to upload. You can't post after 11:59 PM on the 25th.

The 25th. Might as well, um, un-unreveal mine.

I care way more about track design than accessories, usually. 6 inversions and a little room to spare. Was gonna add another helix right before the end brakes just to fill up more space but it would have been too slow by then.

Why not rename this the "Make a stand-up version of gouldy's Tsar" contest?
I think the MCBR and the rest after that could have been better but I didn't want to mess with it anymore when getting a tight fit was hard.

I like your layout way more than mine.

EDIT: FIrst, I have posted mine, second, should we start rating? Wait until tomorrow? Or are we going to go about it a little more organized?

Go ahead and rate the coasters as you download and ride them. Only stipulation: you must have your coaster uploaded before you can rate the others.

^I'm worried about down rating, so I am wondering if we should pick judges, just 2 or 3. Or have all participants wait to rate.

EDIT: Btw, skyarrow, your corkscrew intersects with your catwalks, may want to change that before the deadline.

How did I miss that? Such a simple matter of raising the catwalk a tad, I think.
