Official Contest - Coming Soon

Take out your calendars, and cancel everything you have planned. In a week or two, an official CoasterCrazy No Limits Contest will start.

Details will be released when the contest starts and you will have about a month to finish your ride. I will then judge every ride. If the response is large enough, the highest-scoring players will advance to a second round.

We are still ironing out the details at the moment, so if you have any suggestions about rules, constriction or other matters, your input is welcome.

Please let it be a Jet Coaster contest so that I can compete in it and beat everyone!

I think in a jet coaster contest the judge(s) would have a hard and tedious time slogging through a bunch of low adrenaline 1mph lift rides. Not to say they shouldn't be allowed.
If it was a jet coaster contest, that might be interesting to try, not gonna lie. I don't think I've ever made a jet coaster.
I have a few suggestions in mind:
-Replace Chang at Kentucky Kingdom contest
-LIM bowl contest
-Kings Island giga coaster contest (with the template already terraformed)

I really liked the format of the 2011 NLT (with multiple rounds being turned into a park by the end) combined with a neat terrain aspect would be awesome.

I would definitely get in on this.

Thanks... that was probably my favorite contest that I ever came up with in terms of concept and execution.

With that said, though, my days of contest-hosting are probably over. I've pretty much lost all interest in coasters over the last year or so. So it's good to hear that hyyyper is still doing at least a few, and that this site's contests aren't completely dead.

What exactly do you guys means by coaster wars? Do you mean the match-up tournament or is it something from before my time?

I remember that contest now. It's a cool idea, but it's a lot of hassle for the judge. This time, it's gonna be very simple. I'm trying to give you guys a good challenge without having too much rules.

I'll enter.

I'm definitely in.

As usual, winning isn't as much of a priority as taking part and making a fun looking coaster that I have fun making.

I'm now on spring break! It will be a piece of cake to do this during the week.

They do have some potential, and their current rides do offer something different, which is always good. They just need to come up with more complex layouts instead of new elements. certainly include the elements ofcourse but in a more complex pattern

Wooden Scenic Railway Coaster Contest?

I think that or a Virgina Wheel style coaster using the (Mouse Spinning cars (closest NL has to the Virgina Wheel car.) would be cool.
