probably moving way faster than i should be. Not entirely content with the first half of the ride, might change it up a bit later, but i think the second half is absolutely solid.

Stayed up way later than usual because I really love the creative juices flowing. Hard to believe that just gravity and momentum alone can go through all that!

Once again, caring slightly more about creativity and having a wild, fun, intense layout than being totally accurate to manufacturing styles.
Good thing I made the MCBR higher above the ground than the usual B&M looper or else I wouldn't have come up with this incredibly wild second act. I took some inspiration from The Smiler, Hydra, and AJClarke's Express 90. The train makes it all the way after stopping at the MCBR (such an effing pain to set up MCBR's on FVD++). The overbank in the far end is not quite as hairpin as it looks, and loopers are overall more difficult to design in FVD++ than Intamin hypers.

Started supporting it as well as a little walkway underneath, made of wooden coaster catwalks since I can't use any external 3D programs. I thought it seemed apt since the coaster looks to be visually divided. Also, I decided to name it 'Gonzo.' Gonzo means crazy, wild, bizarre, and this ride is definitely those things.

i think that coherency and layout is more important than element combinations -- better to have a coaster that maintains a sense of speed throughout and a natural, well planned return to the station than to have the whole ride center around a five-element combo with an insipid return to the station -- by that point, there isn't much speed left to pull off anything worth noticing, nor is it easy to follow up the rest of the ride.

The first entry has already been turned in. All I can say is something smells like the Smiler.

Not enough speed? Feel free to use a launch or a 2nd lift even!

Supporting is going nicely. I'm not sure about these colors, though.
Did somebody say Kumba?

@NightwindElf: Is that really 125 ft? You used your momentum wisely.

It's actually shorter by a few feet. I used the momentum like Hulk. Mostly due to the 40 mph launch and zero g that so closely resembles Hulk...

^Oh I thought it was just a regular lift hill, the fact that it's a launch explains a lot.

Who else is doing a launch? I'm excited to see these launched B&Ms in the competition. Has anybody successfully completed a layout with nothing but a lift hill?

Aw man, I thought I was being original. Wait, 2 inversions short of full marmilisation, 4900+ feet packed in a ~121 foot high at most layout, I guess that is original.

So far, I've finished everything as of now with only a single 125 ft lift, but I'm not entirely sure about submitting it. I had to keep the track under 3000 feet because there was simply not enough speed for a mid brake without killing the pacing of the ride.

GTA-VC has withdrawn from the contest. Back down to 15 contestants. How's it coming so far folks?

That cobra roll looks nice. Did you make that in FVD++ by chance?

^Thanks.

^^Yeah, it's FVD++, it makes dueling coasters a ton easier, because you can build both in the same project.
