Ride Ops

Hi all,
I always wondered, specifically on TTD and maybe on other rides, when it is time to dispatch a train, and the ride ops have to push the dispatch/advance button, do the ride ops have to hold down the button to dispatch or can the ride ops just push the button once and be done?

Sorry if this question is kind of random, I just always wanted to know.

This depends on the manufacturer and park preference. I can only speak for CP, but B&M and some Arrow's are dispatch and advance buttons are depressed any time the ride is entering or leaving the station. Intamin's are push and that activity (dispatch, etc) is activated. Hope that helps.
