I wonder if this will be more resource intensive than Portal 2, which my computer can run just fine.

We have something similar at the state fair every year. Caution! The harness goes ALL the way down, and it's not comfortable at all.

Lucky. The closest thing I have to that at my local state fair is the Power Surge, which is not as intense or vomit inducing as it looks. In fact, kinda relaxing. With that, do I even need a Tango?

Yes, very likely. We are around 85% done with it. NoLimits2 will be brand new version and will not be free for NoLimits1 users. We cannot say when NoLimits2 will come out. There is still much to do. It took years to finish NoLimits 1, too, so do not expect it too soon.

I think they need to update the FAQ some.

When do we start taking bets on release date? WInter 2013, Spring or Summer 2014? Maybe even Winter of 2014... Even if its still a year out, we're that much closer to having it. And I think overall development time would still been shorter then Duke Nukem Forever or Half Life 3.

The day after April Fool's 2014? On April Fool's Day, they could pretend that the entire project is cancelled, and then the next day, release it.

NL2 will come out just after the other game comes out...

It is a race to see whose product comes out first, however I think the other game will have a large enthusiast following, and nolimits will have the vendor following.

I think you might be right, MIkey. Especially since TPR has been helping to promote it, I think the general coaster community will embrace the other sim more, but those who take design more seriously will follow NL's lead. Vendors will also use NL for their marketing of various models.

Half Life 3's release is delayed one year for every fat joke made about Gaben. By my calculations, it will be released when the last black hole in the universe has evaporated.

Anyways, just wondering, will NL 2 include something like a built in heartline generator or a Newton 2 esque tool?

Not sure about heartline generator but there is an FVD tool built in.

^The track vertices will be on the heartline instead of the track.

I'm wondering if they'd be able implement special track pieces.
For example:
-Turntables (like on several MACK coasters)
-Track pieces that travel sidewards (Powder Keg), and maybe even give us the possiblity to build these on slopes.
-Similar to the above: http://rcdb.com/2493.htm?p=9519
-Tilting trackpieces: http://rcdb.com/1357.htm
-And also direction and track switches like those found on Expedition Everrest.

I bet at least some of those could be implemented by modifying the transit tracks that were shown in the video. However I doubt we'll see it in the final game, I bet it would be too much work to make something like that.
But just imagine what amazing things you could do with elements like that.

^ I'm actually pretty sure they confirmed moving track pieces that can be scripted for any range of motion and desired outcome you wish.
